I blame the Ponies...

Because the building had no roof for six months and basically open to the elements, when they came to put us back together they suddenly realised that the walls were a little on the wet side and werent gonna dry anytime soon. So to fix it they put metal frames on the walls and added plaster board to that (technical terms i dont remember). When i found out what they had done, i questioned how it would affect wireless to the classrooms so they agreed to put a WAPs in every classroom.

Our issue arose when the head wanted Netbooks, so we had a load of bog standard WAP's. Teachers moaned that netbooks werent logging on. Told head needed managed wireless, got it installed....HP, wasnt great. Had more netbooks, wireless struggled. Had fire. Had Ruckus installed in our temp home. Worked wonderfully. Planned to install it in school, find out builders have created giant Faraday cage, council pays for more AP's...WIN! Netbooks are always in use here. We have 50 odd netbooks...plus staff laptops.

That it was a Yucca..... I get my Fangirl fix daily from Tumblr...some of the gifs they create are amazing!

Hijack! What does it mean when an update has been done, but you have to be an admin to get it to work on the workstation? Guessing a permissions issue but where?

Im so undecided on this. I'm annoyed as i was never consulted, but im pretty sure things that connect to the Network are my problem. They do sound like schools are liking them (at the moment) and anything that works well with the kids is obviously good! It's the management of them i cant get my head around. When i moaned that it would end up being me she said it didnt have to be. So do i just say ok, here you go and dump them on her or do i actually think well, they're on my network, i need to deal with them and the pile of other stuff i also have to deal with cus i obviously have all the time in the world.

Good! Cus its milliseconds of my life i cant get back!!!

When i get a new mention alert, i click it and expect it to take me to the mentions page.....but it doesnt, it take me to my profile page. I infact have to click ONE MORE time to get to that page....its an outrage!! Might be a feature, i dont know lol!

EdPax on shared drive. Teacher either opens it with wrong program or it doesnt recognise it, cant remember. But anyway its a flipchart. I log in as administrator on her machine, change it to open with ActivInspire. Fine. As soon as teacher logs on, it stops working. Load it on my machine fine. What gives?!

....i dont even... Too tired to work...
