I feel its time I moved away from ghost and started to use windows deployment services. My current setup is a mixture of server 2008/2003 and the workstations are all xp pro sp3 I would like to know the following answers if any one can help Does windows deployment services have to go on a DC? Can I deploy XP sp3? How do you integrate all the latest ms updates in the xp image file? Am I correct in saying Application deployment services is used along side WDS to push software out? OK im new to this, so my questions are probably some what lame but I've looked all over the net and I can not get a straight forward answer followed by Howto's. If any one can help me and point me in the correct direction I will greatfully appreciate it. Cheers Kev P.S Im not intrested in using software such as FOG etc

Number of NICs required for Server 2008 R2 Cluster
PEO replied to mbyrew's topic in Windows Server 2008 R2
we have 2 dual nics for each server. 1 dual for ethernet and the other dual for iSCSI. One thing I will say is make sure your nics have there own processor and not use the sysstem cpu, as we found out and caused us problems for several months, the iscsi kept dropping. -
The wife said it was rubbish, embarrassing and insulting to muslims.

Just created this for bit of fun and was wondering what people think of it I guess it could be used for something like a dolphin park or with a little more work a beach bar. I've chosen green as the background to highlight the stoke effect. not sure whay i choose green lol

Thank you It looks as though I will need to do the job manually. Basically the logo will be the earth made up of circles representing dna, 4 shades of green and four shades of blue will be used for the sea and land. The circles will also need to slightly overlap each other -
so far all the machines we have installed dont have floppy drives, and only the staff workstations had dvd rom drives. I look forward to the day when computers have no mechanical components for a resonable price dvd rom drives, cpu fans, psu fans and mechanical hdd are always the first to die and cause problems after 1 - 2 year
