thanks to Carl at csnewmedia for the help transfering site from test server I now have the schools new website live. Couple of problems to sort out and a litle bit of tidying and additonal stuff to be uploaded but I would like everyones opinion on the the progress I have made. school cheers

cheers, do I need to set permisions for subfolders and files in those folders you have listed?

as far as I can tell. no scripts are running to interfeer with png files

I now have the slideshow working. I needed to change the permissions for it in the module folder. Now I need to get the rest of the images to show on the website. No problems running it on the test server here. Does anyone have the list of permissions that need to be set for each folder? cheers

Laptops for Kids is nothing but big nightmare. I have 5 in my office waiting for repair. damaged keybaords, screens smashed. software all screwed up. it has taken a month for the insurance company and xma to get their act togeather. Im at the end of my teather with it all. the basic idea is great but from a support side of things you have little control

Hi, Im hosting my website with csnewmedia. so far Im well happy with the service and Carl has helped me with uploading the site and getting it working so far. I have a slight problem with the images on the website. They appear when the site loads and then they disappear. I've not redirected the school website address to the csnewmedia servers yet until I have it all sorted and running. So for now I've mod the hosts file with the following 87.239.19.41 Bishopsgarth School Maths & Computing College 87.239.19.41 bishopsgarth.stockton.sch.uk flushed bith the internet and dns cache here is screen shots of what it should look like and what it looks like now. any help would be appreciated cheers
