  1. AM / PM registration via the SIMS .net client is still the preferred option in Somerset at present (with Lesson Monitor for lesson by lesson registration) Learning Gateway may be better once the new Web Parts are produced in November, but the current set lack a lot of the functionality available in the full client.
  2. Is the SIMS .ini on the laptop pointing to the correct location for the setps folder. It might be worth manually running the SIMSApplicationSetup.exe from the SIMS\Setups folder to ensure the client software versions are up to date.
  3. I am part of the Somerset LA MIS Support Team, and have been working with and supporting SIMS software for more yeard than I would like to admit to!
  4. SQL Express will only use up to 1Gb RAM so I would be concerned that moving from a full version of SQL Server to a restricted version would have a negative impact on performance
  5. The patch referred to earlier in this threas is patch 9863. I can confirm this has fixed Noah's problem.
  6. For FMS to perform as it should the cache size should be set to at least the size of the database. This can be edited back to the correct size via the ODBCAD32 Data Source Manager (start | run | odbcad32| system dsn | SIMS 32 | options ).
