Having completed the first heist and got away with using the least talented crew with maximum profit ($1.2mil for Michael) i'm feeling pretty good about my financial security. However, I have found reference on a wiki that you can replay the heists to make more money, anyone else tried this or heard anything more concrete? I don't really fancy playing the stock market to increase my revenue..

I'm dubious about spending time in a virtual strip bar that shows up in your status on PSN.. It's a good thing I don't have it linked to any social media sites. Edit: Come to think of it, I can't find the screenshot I saw so it's probably a hoax.

I was thrilled to see my copy arrive yesterday and must have put in about 4-5 hours of gameplay, mostly doing missions, but the occasional bout of randomness involved. One thing I am really impressed with is the AI of NPCs.. The police seem a LOT more intelligent, and random folks on the street too.. I had just finished a mission and was heading back to find a car near the pier when some random guy started shouting at me, I hadn't realised at this point that you can interact with anyone using the action button (right D-pad on PS3), so after talking back to him, he pushed me away, then I laid him out cold in one punch. That truly made my whole experience on the game worthwhile so far. I think i'm in love.

PS3 copy for me, but I'll be buying the PC version when it comes out for the multiplayer, and with any luck it'll get some post-launch love. GTA IV was fantastic online until it was struck with cheats and exploits, then most games ended in someone crashing the server

Good afternoon all, I'm looking for some suggestions as we've run flat out of ideas and the issues is now becoming a vendetta. Over the summer we re-imaged the majority of the site with IE10 included on the classroom machines, however, some of the site remained with IE9 and this has caused a few issues with regards to scripting becoming disabled on staff roaming profiles. Currently, our solution is either a full profile reset or a reset of IE but it does seem to be recurring. It was decided that we should roll back from IE10 to IE9, and while we are able to successfully remove the update and switch back it has left an annoyance for the student mandatory profiles, every time they log on the 'Personalized Settings' run and are halted by a lack of access to the command prompt. While this doesn't stop the students from logging on successfully, it is driving me up the wall trying to figure out why it is happening, we've tried recreating the mandatory profile, but that still retains the issue, i've tried replacing the default user profile with a healthy one but no luck there either. Short of recreating the image and re-imaging the whole site, has anyone any ideas as to what may be causing the behaviour? Google searches seem to be fruitless as the only references I can find to this behaviour are from IE4 or 5. Any input will be gratefully received.

Sense of entitlement? damn right, the power of anonymity on the internet means I can inflict MY opinion on anyone I like (see section '1.'), and if they don't agree with that then I can say whatever I like without fear of reprisal. But then that begs the question of how we can remove the mindset that anonymity allows us to be as vile and ridiculous as we like WITHOUT affording everyone the basic right to privacy? V-Chips? Segregation? Censorship? For some reason, I can't see any form of legislation making this better, and short of the world becoming a nicer place to live in, I don't see what can easily be done about it.

Yes! I was about to post a similar thread asking if anyone else was using Scholaris. We implemented the system last summer having moved away from the LEA and BSF, which was apparently also running on a Sharepoint platform. I started here in January and so haven't seen the VLE first being installed and have been through minimal training, so am just now starting to get to grips with it. Having previously been in a school that ran Moodle I can see that it is a far more restrictive system in terms of design elements, i've not had a lot of experience with Sharepoint and so haven't really delved into the deeper elements. However, the integration with SIMS is quite thorough, attendance and timetables are well represented, although staff here have noticed that it's not as easy as putting keystrokes straight into SIMS, I can, however see a big advantage if you're using tablets or mobile technologies (an iOS app has just been released, not sure on Android, but most of it is accessible in mobile form, although i've not tested it). Being based on Sharepoint you have excellent representation from current Office applications and also access to shared resources on network drives, this seems to be quite quick and i've not yet seen any issues relating to it. With Salamander running on the network we have no issues with user generation and i've not had any reported issues there, either. It has to be said, it is very early days with the system in the school, there doesn't appear to be a community to tap into for advice, from what I can tell the company is mainly based in Australia and are still growing their user base over here, but I have been informed they are overhauling their website and branding and introducing a lot of tweaks and new features in the near future, although i've not been given many specifics, our data manager seems to be quite impressed and is very enthusiastic about what they're doing. The above has to be taken with a pinch of salt, i've not been using the system very long and it is still in it's infancy, I would like to see a reference site and have been told there are quite a few schools about that have implemented Scholaris and are enjoying it, and hopefully a few will post in this thread. Hi there, I spotted this article on the BBC website earlier, i'm not sure whether it may be related, but it does sound awfully suspicious. BBC News - Computer virus hits office printers I only briefly scanned through the article and it doesn't seem to describe the content of the 'gibberish'. Alex

I did find one stream from the BBC which I could embed, but we don't use audio on any of the displays so I stuck with just an RSS in the end. Having had a quick search just now, looks like they've removed the embedding option from the latest version of their player. If you look at this link here; BBC Enables Video Embedding, Sets Good Example for You and Me | NativeHQ It now just says 'undefined' where it used to give the embed code..

It's not quite an MMO, it's also not free, but Minecraft is probably going to fit the purpose. Minimal hardware requirements for clients, ability to have private servers, runs on Windows and Linux. The more users it has the more bandwidth it'll need, but beyond that it's quite simple. It will need an internet connection, but only to authenticate clients at login. There's a lot of Mods for server admin support, and backups so if anyone mucks around you can revert the server to a previous state. It's really good fun, and certainly doesn't contain any risque content.

Using a flash module I downloaded I managed to get time and date, although there were complaints that every 13th of the month it said "13rd". I ended up writing my own module using a tutorial.
