We have a sign (which lives in my desk drawer) i've been asked a few times to put it up but never will. We tend to store equipment in the server room as well so never want it advertised.

it was around £1000 (a few years ago) but they have a new product out. Support was good so drop them an email asking for a quote.

We use Luxriot at two sites, easy to install and use. Was significantly cheaper as it was one price with unlimited cameras and no yearly fee. The free version does up to nine cameras and is perfect for smaller sites.

i think they've fixed it. Our Librarian was told it was our fault. Fortunately i checked the cert before it was fixed .

Just trying to log it now but getting no response. i assume they don't start till 9am! Can only get a "hi" out of the automated system.

i think you can use an SMDR software receiver and set the Avaya software to push to it? That will give raw data and then you can sort it into meaningful reports? Haven't got access at the moment to check but you used to be able to.

Have you checked any capacitors on the motherboard for slight bulges? and made sure the cpu grease/compound hasn't gone rock hard?

My email routing works fine. Its just when logged into office 365 users with local exchange mailboxes can't view them. They can log in via the standard owa link no problem. Can you confirm for your users that have a local exchange account the office 365 email link is on this form :- https://outlook.office365.com/owa/?realm=email domain here&exsvurl=1&ll-cc=2057&modurl=0 ??

All routing etc works fine both internal and within office 365. The hybrid wizard sets up a send and receive connectors to the internal exchange server (Exchange Admin centre, mail flow, connectors) there is a validate link so you can check the routing and tweak if needed. For your onsite users if they log on to office 365 does the email link open their exchange mailbox?

The plan was always to move mailboxes over but over a period of time rather than one big hit. We wanted to get staff using office365 and then do a controlled migration across. The hybrid process seemed the easiest and logical way to do it. Although not recommended there are quite a few guides on the removal of the hybrid process but i have a fair few applications that require smtp relay and exchange is very simple to use for that. (and in one case the preferred solution). But to keep this on track has anyone done the hybrid route? As i still can't find an answer as to how office 365 email should work when the user has an exchange onsite account. They get can login via the office 365 portal fine and see all their icons but any that require email (email, tasks etc) don't work as it says they don't have a mailbox. i thought that this icon should route them through to the onsite exchange owa or even use outlook anywhere via autodiscovery to give them a mailbox view? But again most of the guides cover the actual setup not the expected behaviour when it's completed.

yesterday after weeks of reading online guides i started the Exchange 2013 Hybrid setup wizard. We already have pupil Office 365 setup so i added a new domain (no problems) setup Azure AD Connect (removed dirsync due it going end of life) No problems. The wizard went through without problems and i have checked email routing from the existing web email to the onsite exchange and again no problems So i then pick on a user with a local exchange account and from Office 365 assign various product licenses (in this case office for faculty) Do i need to assign an exchange license? I have tried both with and without the license. Either way the user can login fine, Can see online apps (word etc) but when clicking the emailing icon we get something went wrong (if a license is added) it says can't find mailbox If no license is added then the email icon doesn't appear. Having hunted around the web last night i can't find anywhere to state what should happen? Do i need to assign an exchange online license? I assume that the email account for the hybrid exchange users should redirect to the onsite exchange owa? Any advice greatly received.

Looks to be a wifi access point? Unifi uap?

Last place i was in we used something similar to this. Then a standard patch panel with patch leads to the computers. Is was the neatest solution we came up with.

All of our Laptops are in a separate computer group within Wsus we only push updates out to these at the most convenient times. Normally holidays but then we check all our laptops at each break anyway. Currently can update and check 150 laptops in a day this way.

So first off the pressure is to low, to re-pressurise you normally have a tap (or taps) to turn to add pressure from the mains. Google how to re-pressurise central heating system and you'll get loads of videos. It's very easy and simple and should only takes a few seconds to do. That may fix the problem but hummimg or vibrating could be air in the system so you might have to bleed a radiator or two (again quite easy) but since it's a pressurised system you'll have to replace the air with water by doing the above. As always if it gets to complicated it should only take a plumber 30 mins to sort provided it's not something else.

Smoothwall Safeguarding Notifications
Gurtlush replied to quiet_andy's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
it sounds like it's set correctly. Assuming nothing stupid like Emailed notification frequency is set to monthly etc etc. i would delete and recreate all the settings. -

Stopping Delivery of emails out of school hours
Gurtlush replied to mmi's topic in How do you do....it?
In which case just stop the transport service via a schedule task at 5pm and start it again at 8am (or times to suit). Nothing gets received and nothing gets sent. When the service is started all the email via your isp will come flooding in! and i think any email in the send queue would get sent (you might need to test that bit) -

Having quickly read the comments. Would the easiest solution be to just schedule a stop and start of the Microsoft Exchange Transport Service (that would stop all receive and send functionality but still allow people to read existing emails). You could do a schedule for Monday to Friday and a different one for the weekend. Of course you would to test this to make sure that any external email doesn't bounce back to sender (but that depends on how your routing works?) and if you have some sort of SMTP Relay in place. If you are going to unplug the server anyway you may get bounce backs. -
It's a loxit lapbank.

Ran into the same problem over the last few days for 209.85.217.176 (another google email server). Currently we use a third party for email rather than through smoothwall but since this is now becoming a major problem I'm looking at alternatives as our provider gives the stock answer of it's not our problem! Any suggestions for a good DNS host that allows pointing of an mx record to an IP?

fortunately a member of staff wandered in to do some work so did a few tests. With the old exchange server turned off Outlook says it can't find the server and asks if you want to work offline. So changed the dns to point the old server name at the new server and that works. So exchange 2007 has now bitten the dust. Fingers crossed it works okay on exam day.

For that i need an existing account to test with, that hasn't already connected! Might have to wait until someone comes in! but being the summer holidays could be a long wait.
