Hi all I am getting this issue lot recently i have run the cmd script with as shown in post 2 and i am still getting trust relationship issues! any ideas what else i can do?

theres no proxy, ive left it blank as we dont have proxy server here. i dont think they can change proxy settings not tested in chrome but if we dont have proxy even if they can change the proxy would that bypass things?

i saw the Facebook login screen didn't see them log in and also it was facebook.com nothing else in the address bar so got confused! unless they clicked on cached site

Has anyone noticed chrome allows you to website where as internet explorer denies? I just saw a kid on facebook on chrome but its blocked in IE anyone had similar issues?

Good morning all I am planning to revamp my backup strategy at my current work place at present we have networked hard drives and have installed cobian on servers and all backup to the network hard drive. this is for domain and curriculum. was wondering what suggestions you guys may have. I am also thinking to use windows server backup and use incremental facility within this. But i cant get one HD for each server so thinking of a network hard drive. any ideas which type of hard drive i can use/get to do backup via network? also software for 6 servers with 2 SQL and 1 Hyper v server with 2 VM's. I have DPM set up for the SQL and VM's but this is giving me hard time as its always got issues. So not sure if i should fix that or look at something thats easy to use! school will be closing down in 2-3 years so budget is not HIGH sadly! any ideas?

Morning all I seem to have same issue... all PC are getting black fuzzy screen with an error has occured.... I have speakers attached to my PC and still no video.. strangely it works for Chrome now but not IE8 do i need to upgrade to IE 9?

are you downloading the update from there or the full OS?

still no sign of update on my store! and ive used the MAK key on my pro edition. dont know why this is not done as a windows update, wouldve made life soo much easy!!

Hi all randomly we have noticed students workstations usually once a week a machine drops out of the domain. it just goes off domain nothing else, all past logins and softwares still in tact Any ideas whats causing this? or could cause it?

its a VB script, i have looked for echo off but cant see anything so i can see the script being run?

If i run script manually it works fine, all drives appear, but users wouldn't like to do this everyday sadly. if it runs manually an runs OK does that rule out above possibilities?

Hi all we have mainly windows server 2008 r2 edition installed with home drives from the active directory user properties and all other mapped drives from script. on a windows xp machine the user gets all the mapped drives via script and the home drive on a windows 7 machine which is in same OU as the xp machines. When i log in as a administrator i only get the home drive and NOT the mapped drives via script If i log in as a teacher i get the mapped drives no NOT the home drive any ideas why?

Hi yep its new os in exisiting server as server is only 1 year old, but previous guy set up server with just 20gb C: and its now full!!! But yep i was thinking keep D: in tact too. but just to be in safe side i wanted a full backup so incase the partitions go wrong i will have a backup... we have done this before on numerous schools and within week so it would be ok. The admin machines we are just going to disjoin from domain then add back to domain. all other machines will have full rebuild. The school uses online based MIS so theres no problems with MIS. I am aware the shares and permissions are on system state, but even if the data is restored i can look at recreating shared and its permissions.

Thanks I have just got it working, current OS is small business server 2008, after rebuild would be 2008 R2 Current D: is 700gb after rebuild 500gb Would D: backup from old server and old config restore ok to new server with new d: config? I have only done backups on windows server

I have taken over from a previous IT company, they only had 160gb of tandberg tape in place. When the server has like 600gb and backup never worked!!! due to some limitations of small bnusiness server 08 its best we rebuilt server. School has online backup and does full backup via that but wasnt sure if thats safe to restore via that. Thay have qnas box in ordeer for future backups which should arrive sometime next week. Its a primary school so just one server that does everything, no extra servers

We are upgrading our server next week. from server 2008 small business edition to server 2008 r2 the school has 600gb of data!!! c drive is windows d and e is data obviously i would need full backup. whats best way to do full backup of the server? to a external HDD? and fast due to time constraints?

Hi Guys over half term, i have to rebuild a server from scratch!!! reconfigure all switches. then rebuild all workstations and join them to domain. we have like over 100. Was wondering we have 100 diffferent workstations, whats best way to deploy. I have heard few, wds, fog, ghost, acronis. Which is best, would prefer pxe boot so dont have to carry things around.
