@barbera02 It's a split site school/academy, there are around2100 students on roll. Currently running a 2003 windows domain with majority xp clients. This is in the process of being updated (server 2008/windows 7) ready for roll out in september. Our year 7 block has an all new wireless thin client solution with netbooks in all classrooms. (which we are looking to also roll out further very soon) I wouldn't like to hazard a guess at computers/laptop numbers but its a lot. Any more information needed just let me know. Its the "Live" search mechanism... I Think. Because the search bar now uses Google's service to provide results/suggestions as you type... it reads from that plist for the settings on how the search box should work. Could always try switch to a different search engine or somehow switch off live results.

You mean the flash adverts that are so annoying? My iPad never stopped me watching youtube or vimeo videos. Plus Youtube have just switched on HTML 5 embeds so that all works now.
