Got it working, using 1 card as the stack and the other as Ethernet.

Probably a dumb question but...I just use one stacking kit (one AX in each switch) if I only have 2 switches I want to stack or do I have to loop them back and have 2 cards in each switch?

Morning, I am in the process of installing a new M5300 switch which I intend to stack with a GSM7328S. Has anyone done stacking with these models? I have attached the module and linked the cables but nothing has happened?

Morning, I just had a new fibre run put in linking 2 building via a catenary. I had 50/125 installed and intended to run via patches back trough 2 cab to the main cab in school to a shiny new Netgear M5300 switch. The problem is the old fibre linking the 2 sites was put in before I arrived and there is no paperwork around for it so not sure what it is... does anyone know of a way to identify the size? I've been buying 62.5/125 patch leads but may have got it wrong. Theres nothing on the cable to identify it and I was tempted to buy something from Ebay to do a bi of testing although not sure what as of yet.

I recently ordered 20 ne machines for an IT suite. I like the Lenovo ones and they were doing a cash back deal which made them pretty cheap and I was about to order them when my account manager at Misco said they have some deals for education only.. lo and behold the same compters were on with 3 year warranties but cheaper then they would have been without the cash back... bargain.. so I fired off the order.Just opened the box and the are SFF ones and I didn't realised the M73 line covers all case sizes.But.... the monitors which we are saving have Vesa holes that are accessible and they M73 comes with screws and a built on bracket... they look awesome and free up loads of space. Not sure which was to mount them as they can go with the tray facing up with the button and USBs upwards too but I need to buy a VGA 90 degree adapter which is only a few quidSo the moral of the story is.. just jump in both feet and it was always work out well in the end.

Just got round to testing the new Infinity line today and its hitting 78Mb, well pleased. I already have 1 infinity which never got over 35Mb so either they have put me in a diferent cab or I am just lucky. All I have to do now is hook up my new SW box to use them both... happy time. PS. Openreach did a perfect job, I know they get bad press and I was nervous they would cut the wrong wire but this time... spot on.

Its actually sat at home stuck in the back of my TV so could have a play with it so haven't solved it yet. Summer job

Hi, Just wondered how other schools go about collecting electronic signatures. We currently use Schoolpost which is excellent but some staff have started using Google Forms to collect permissions. I was told a password signature is required for it to be 'binding' which isn't set on the Google forms. If we send the URL of the from securely do you think that counts? I would prefer to keep it all on one system but need a good argument instead of it just me being awkward.

Hi, Currently we use an in house exchange for staff which will not change and we use Google for students in a split delivery system... MX records point to school which checks the emails and forwards the onto Google if the mailbox isn't on the exchange server. It seems to work well but we are looking towards rolling it out to all pupils and possibly Office 365. Does office 365 offer the ability to block external emails like Google? Our junior pupils are restricted to emails from our own domain? I would prefer to use O365 so they can use the online word etc... but I like the flexibility in Google. I don't want 2 different online email system in school but may have one due to us having Chromebooks.

Hi, We are thinking of going for the AIO option for a wow factor in our new sixth form block. Anyone gone down this line? Bit old fashioned me so I like the standard boxes but the tidy wires appeal to me a lot. Like the Glide and the stone ones, got 2 Lenovo ones in reception which are very cool looking.

I sent this off last week and got a quote through the post today. Replacement Module Engine £210.92 + £40 labour + vat comes to £301.10. I just bought a replacement for not much more than that.
