@Steve21 Thanks, I now have my couple of stations pulling down Windows 10. I also seem to have my first busted computer. The first machine I tried is now refusing tho boot, beeping twice repetitively. I suspect its something to do with secure boot. It didn't ask me for the code. Can you explain why I actually needed to turn UEFI off in order for PXE to work? Is PXE only a 'legacy' boot mode?

We have just bought 70 nice and shiny HP ProDesk 400 G3 desktops, but I am struggling to get them to PXE boot to the network. I have tried both changing the boot order to LAN first and also using the F12 boot menu. The closest I can get is a black screen with the text ">>Start PXE over IPv4" but it never progresses. I have run the BIOS hardware check and it reports that the onboard NIC is fine,. Anyone have any ideas? Feel I'm missing something obvious....

@speckytecky Its not an unfair question, no. The problem is that we're pushing the use of Office 365 and O365 Group, with their own document collections. These O365 groups are made up of the teacher as the owner and students as members. We set this up en mass for staff. If the member of staff wanted to email a document to a single class they would need to individually add each of their 30 students as recipients. Its all about trying to make it a simple as possible.

This is driving me crazy. Lets pretend that the below is a group that a teacher manages. They have created a document that they'd like everyone to have their own copy of it. What is the Office 365 version of right clicking and selecting copy and then going to your own OneDrive folder and clicking right click paste? How do people take private copies of documents?

@EduTech Any idea when its going to be released in the UK? Also, do you know if/when the School Information System connector will be available in the UK and whether it will link to the Capita product SIMS .net?

@tekins Yeah, I've looked at Ruler a few months ago and really liked their Connect product, which would do all of the managing of Groups and distribution lists. Their Classroom product (File Manager in particular) looks like it'd do everything we wanted, but at last investigation £2 per student didn't fit our budget, however excellent the product looked. After saying that, Microsoft look to be releasing some form of MIS connector tool. It'd be interesting to know its functionality.

Okay so that works, but I still think its a little clunky and wonder whether my colleague and I are going about this the wrong way. I feel we're only using (and I understand) a small fraction of what Office 365 can offer. Its a semi common requirement that a member of staff will create a document and want to distribute it a group of students. Now that we're starting to use OneDrive the work flows that we used on the LAN don't seem to have a direct replacement.

Hi all This one should seem simple, but I keep drawing a blank on a good solution. A teacher has created an Excel spreadsheet on their OneDrive folder. He wants each of his Maths students to each have a copy to be able to make their own changes to, using Chromebooks (not WIndows PCs) So far, the best method I can find to do this is to email each of the students a copy of this document and for them to then save a copy in their own OneDrive folder. From there, they can then edit the document. I have ruled out the sharing feature, as I think this will just allow multiple people to access and edit the same document (which might mean they'd end up overwriting each others amendments?) Is there a better way than email?

Hi After trying and failing to install Microsoft Azure AD Connect yesterday, I'm now left with the application not running and refusing to uninstall, with attempts for both bringing the same helpful error message. I have tried Goggling the error, but can't find a solution. Any ideas?

I'm looking for the best way to Share a Calendar in our School. As a start I have manually created a new "All Staff" Security Enabled Email Group for all my staff. I have then created and logged on as a Office 365 user called "Calendar" and shared its calendar with the new Security group. Everyone in the group now seems to have received an email (below) inviting them to Accept the sharing of that Calendar. This all works fine. However, what happens when a new member of staff joins and they also need access to that calendar? I have just created a test Office 365 user so see, and added it to my All Staff security group, but so far the test user has not received any form of notification that they have access to the shared Calendar. Any ideas? Also, am I going about this in the right way? Is there a better way to achieve this?

Hi While not mission critical, I've been trying unsuccessfully to get OK Google working on our BYOD Wi-Fi network, on my Android Nexus 6p for a while now. Does anyone know what I need to allow in order for this to work? I have a look at the realtime firewall and filter logs whilst testing it, but nothing seems to jump out.

We had that with some HP recon units. The jumper was the issue with us.

Hi all I'm not totally sure our Impero Patch Management is working correctly. Below is how I have broken my network up, with the scans taking part across two days, with each day staggering the start of the scans. It has been set up like this for months and months. If I take a look at one of my IT Suites, Room 9, it is showing a huge difference in the number of missing patches. Why would some stations be so out of date? How do I kick off an ad-hoc manual update of each profile group? There is the "Scan Machines for missing patches" icon, but this just seems to scan, and never install missing updates. I'd truly like to be able to rely on Patch Management, but at the moment I can't. This is either because I'm doing something wrong, or its just busted! Ideas anyone?

@RichCowell, in fairness, no. I've always rung them in the past and got through to someone straight away. I've never emailed them for support before. I'll try sending a 'Please ring me email'.

Hi guys Looking for any Impero staff browsing the forums.... Over the last few days I have tried a number of times to ring you guys, and always (and I mean always) get through to voicemail. Can I join you? -When I renewed, I bought Patch Management, but since my 5.2.10 update, it now says I'm no longer licenced. -My C:\Program Files (x86)\Impero Solutions Ltd\Impero Server\Backups folder has 1434 items in it, taking up 9.36Gb. Can I delete these? -Since the 5.2.10 upgrade, my RDP connections to my two 2008rs servers which have Impero installed on them are glitchy as hell. Actions such as dragging folders and renaming stuff keep stopping as if someone is messing with the mouse input. -When is the 5.2.10 update for OSX going to be released? Yes they're still working on the older version, but its playing hell with my OCD having different version numbers showing in the console. -Is there an updates Chromebook extension? OK, so I have created a new test Security group. The group shows its self as an option to share a OneDrive document to, but my colleagues do not see that document in their "Shared with me" list. What am I doing wrong? - - - Updated - - - Just on O365

Hi all I have a few dozen email distribution groups in Office 365 which I'd like to convert into Security Groups so I can also use them to assign permissions against, but also so that OneDrive and SharePoint documents can be shared via them. Is it possible to somehow convert the groups, maybe via PowerShell? Or do I need to create them from scratch?
