  1. Hi We're running v6.4.43 of Impero. Thinking about the schools PC replacement cycle, I want to based my decision on firm numbers. Can Impero generate a report and tell me the average daily usage (8.30 - 4.30) of each of the computers? I'd like to rank my computers by usage, so I can allocate replacements where they're most needed. Steve
  2. Oh....and the other things we did was strip all of the Smoothwall extensions out of the Google Admin console settings, and re-add them.
  3. Just in case it helps, below are my Service Object Manager groups in Smoothwall, referenced in my firewall rule, on the previous screen grab.
  4. Hi, yes, that's right, one rule for each direction.
  5. Hi @tdecker, sorry for the delay in replying, I have just seen this. Did Impero manage to help you out? The solution for us was the firewall rules in our Smoothwall, due to the jumping across 2 VLANS. While I was told it should not matter, I had to put the rules in 'twice', with the second the reverse of the first.
  6. Hi all We're using Office 365. and have started to look at MS Teams. Now that students are starting to store school work within their College OneDrive (rather than on the network), one of the most requested abilities is for staff to be able to access the OneDrive for their students. How can this be achieved?
  7. With the C302CA, there are a few different versions, with the main difference being the process and RAM. The process options are the M3 and M7 and the RAM options are 4 or 8Gb. This changes the price from between £500 to £800! How important to Chrome OS are these? I don't plan to play demanding games or anything on them, but I'd like them to be snappy. Thoughts
  8. Thanks for that last nugget of information. It hadn't even occurred to me that these things have an end date for software updates, just as with Windows.
  9. Thanks - I'm leaning towards the Acer Chromebook Flip. Cheers
  10. I'm looking to buying one for myself. I'm not wanting to spend the £999 on a Google Pixelbook, but I would like a fairly capable Chromebook with Play Store compatibility, so happy for £400-£500.
  11. Hi Can anyone point me in the right direction of the up to date list of Google Chromebooks which support the Google Play Store? Thanks
  12. Hi all I'm currently working to get the use of external USB storage devices stopped, and as its a tool I already have in place, I'm first looking at using Impero to do this. You seem to have 4 options. To control encryption you have -Allow un-encrypted devices -Allow only encrypted devices To control which devices are allowed to be used on Impero controlled PCs you have -Allow all devices -Allowed devices only Has anyone played with this? Any best practice? In terms of allowing only encrypted devices, do you have to use any specific encryption method?
  13. Hi @ModeratelyGruntled, we also use Ruler to generate these files. Do you have any suggestions on a tool to sanity check them? Thanks
  14. Hmmm Okay, so when I try to open the "section.csv" file in Excel, it give the error messages, but if I click through them, they do open. (Please ignore the underscore on the file name, this was just for my own visual information and isn't present when I'm trying to upload the files.)
  15. Hi We're using Teams, and I'm trying to update our data, via the 6 .csv files, but keep getting the below error. I'm fairly sure my files contain the correct data. Any ideas of where to start?
  16. Found it. It was in my Office 365 Settings > Personal info > Alternative email Thanks all. - - - Updated - - - Found it. It was in my Office 365 Settings > Personal info > Alternative email
  17. Hi @ChrisH, maybe. How can I confirm this?
  18. Okay, so I have found a consistency with this issue, in that my colleague, who is also a Global Admin of our Office 365 Tenancy, assigned a Minecraft for Education licence to one of our test student accounts. The email that this test account received didn't state that it had come from his O365 account, but instead from his work Google email address (where mine was my private Hotmail one). So, its clear that the emails the assignment email uses to state who the mail came from is a secondary email address, but we don't have a clue where this is set and even remember setting it!
  19. Hi, thanks for that, but I have had a look in the Admin > Exchange console, and also run the Powershell you suggested, but can't see my private email address there.
  20. Hi So, we're trialling Minecraft for Education, and have bought 4 licences to test this with a small group. However, I have somehow managed to mess up the order process and now when you assign a licence to a user, the auto emails are sent with my private email address linked to it, rather than the Office 365 One. I clearly can't have this being emailed out to students! (see the image below) I suspect this happened because I was logged into my Hotmail in another tab, when the order was placed, but don't understand why it latched onto this, rather than my College one. When I am logged into the Microsoft Store for Education with my College email account, it does show the correct Minecraft for Education licences, but just sends the email out with my private one. Can anyone offer a suggestion of how to change the address it sends!
  21. In the end, I decided to use the Windows 8 Refresh option, restore to the factory default, (remove the crapware!) and then brought them up to date with Windows updates, which worked. It was slow going, but I have now rebuilt all of the laptops and they're happily updating normally.
  22. In the end, I managed to get in contact (via the email support) with someone called Gemma, who became my point of contact. After also spending some time with the XPorter guys (which Vivos uses) we eventually determined that the issue was that Vivo had provided me with the wrong logon credentials. Once they changed the credentials they'd given me, to their own back end, everything sprang to life. While Gemma was great, I'm not overly happy with their method of support, and not providing a telephone number to be able to speak to an actual person.
  23. Thanks - but that number is no longer in service. Sigh.
  24. Hi Guys We're having some problems with our Vivo Miles XPorter tool, where it won't connect and upload the new Year 7s. It seems they no longer have a support telephone number, that enables you to talk to a human (or at least, not one that I can find). Instead it seems that all support is sought via email. This has let me down a couple of times, with my support request not progressing. I don't support anyone has a telephone number that will let me speak with a person?
