Are you trying to stop users printing direct to the printer? if so cant you set ACL's on the printer so only allow from the print server? Eric

At the college i worked at had ruckus, we installed a ZD3k and had about 60ish AP's across 4 campuses. With 300-400 devices on the wireless network at anytime. We got Net-Ctrl to install the system for us. Eric

All our services should have 0% downdown time all year around. I am give the first Tuesday of every month, a 2 hour slot between 6-8am to do any server outages.

For our DC's we Use the Dell Poweredge R210 4gb ram, 160gb raid 1, quad core. Costs about 1.5K

What wireless access points are you using, if your AP supports multi SSID and ACL's i would setup one staff SSID and use Window IAS to secure connections by domain group i.e. "Staff Users" then use another SSID on a locked down vlan (Guest system) and only allow web access through your filters/firewall using ACL's.

Tag both uplink ports with the vlans you want, I don't usually tag my management vlan, i then set both uplink ports to 100F seed/duplex. Then on the edge switch make sure you DG is pointing to your router.

We have just moved from a 3Com manage solution over to a Ruckus manage solution, we have 48 x zf7363 across 4 campuses. We spoke with Mark Power from Net-Ctrl.

Are the AP's mannaged through a controller, if so you only need to add the controller to IAS, and the same for the switches.

Were having SafeCom installed tomorrow, then rolling out the new MFP printers next week, using a follow me type printing.

We have rolled out the 7363 as per the points above.

We are just about to roll out a SafeCom Manage Print Solution (Phoenix Computers) 5 x Hewlett Packard m4345xs and 1 x Hewlett Packard m4730 colour, as for the cost its all down to the printers and the printing output and service. We are looking at somethink like 1.93 pence per click mono and 5.9 pence per click colour.

Hi ya, I have sent you over a PM with the link, im not sure if the iso is bootable, if not you can extract the files from inside, there is a ghost image with the restore.

I think i have an iso of this, let me look into it, if there is no licensing issues i can upload it to one of our web servers. Can any see a problem with the licensing?

I would like to thank Mark Power again from Net-Ctrl, after installing our first phase of 10 AP's, the SMT thinks they work so good, we have now got another 50 AP's to finish off all our other sites. Cheers Eric.

We have been using Ruckus at our new site we installed ZoneDirector 1000 and we had 10 x ZoneFlex 7363. They have been work so good we are now installing a ZoneDirector 3000 and 50 more ZoneFlex 7363 at our other sites.

Would anyone use VMware view?, we currently have about 20 server on VMware.

Hi all, is anyone using virtual desktops if so what software platform did you go for, and many current desktops are in use against servers? I been asked to look in to the possibility of movinf some or all users over to virtual desktops, with the aim of reducing cost, setup, deployments etc.. Many Thanks Eric
