Just warning for anyone who is converting to an academy, changing DfE numbers and using RAISEOnline! Recently we have changed to an academy and changed out DfE number. While in a RAISEOnline training session I mentioned this to the trainer as I noticed in RAISEOnline we still had our old DfE number come up, he said that in the November 2013 update of RAISE we will lose all previous data (more than 5 years worth of past data!). This is because our DfE number and the accounts associated with that old number will cease to exist. He told me to contact the RAISE Helpdesk to double check this. I emailed the help desk to check and the trainer was right. They got back to me pretty quickly stating: "Your school opened on 01/06/2013, therefore access details will be provided next year just before the first set of 2013 key stage data submitted by the new school is released in RAISEonline, which will be later in the autumn term 2013. We will write to the new schools with their account details during that time. When an establishment closes and re-opens as a new legal entity under the 'Education and Inspections Act 2006' and the 'School Organisation Regulations 2007' we are unable to share data and information on pupils from the predecessor school. You are able to save full reports in a pdf format for the closed school from the ‘reports’ area of RAISEonline whilst you have access to the system. Historical reports are also available to save from the same section of RAISEonline (to access these please select the ‘view archived reports’ link). If there are additional interactive reports that you would like to save from RAISEonline, these can be exported to range of formats: excel, PDF, html format, TIFF and CSV. This option is in the toolbar for each report." Basically what they said is all the previous data will be gone from the old DfE number and the accounts won't exist. Our new DfE number will have no past data to look at and we shall get completely new log in details. RAISEOnline have recommended to export all reports on past data while I still have the access to the accounts which I shall be doing today asap!

Well I logged onto the NCA Tools website to download their excel sheet to see what it looked like and after checking the instructions I thought using SIMS Assessment Manager was fairly easier for us as a school to input our data instead and then export it as a CFT format to upload to the website. I've input half of the data so far and I'm waiting for Maths End of KS3 data from HOD. When it's completed (hopefully by Wednesday/Thursday!) I'll upload it! I hope we don't have any problems like timetableman did.

Any one else getting ready to collect and upload their KS3 Teacher Assessment data to the NCA Tools website? It's my first time doing this so just interested if anyone else has done it? The preferred method of uploading is exporting it from SIMS as a CFT file from the imported templates but as we use Go4Schools and not SIMS Assessment Management we have to upload it as a excel file (not sure what format yet as I haven't had a account created for the NCA Tools website).

Problem solved! It was the DHCP settings not configured properly to our environment (had default settings due to Virgin Media configuration while setting it up). Thanks for your help.

Hi! Can anyone help? Here at work we upgraded our network to LGFL 2.0 recently. Everything was working fine until we try to add new devices to the network or re-add old devices. It seems that any device we tried to add from now (after 2.0 swtich over) on or re-add to the network will assign 169.x.x.x.x address and does not see the DHCP at all. We have tried manually assigning these devices to our DNS but the ip address is still 169.x.x.x.x. Hey guys, This may sound silly but a member of staff called us about a little spider that appears in only IE, we first noticed it on her home page (google) and then on her deskop too. She had loads of toolbars installed, they were uninstalled by our lead technician but it seems the little spider is still there. If you click on it it moves its little legs and sometimes moves around the page. We are not sure how to get rid of it and guessing its some sort of virus. I have tried print screening it but it does not show up when the print screen is pasted. Any ideas how to get rid of it? And no it isn't a real spider thats got into the screen lol. Thanks
