I doubt those machines would even have an option for AHCI mode in BIOS. Really you should be leaning towards newer machines.

Thanks for this reply. I know it is optimistic but we are exploring all avenues. I'll be working near Wimbledon so anything along the district line or easily accessible will be useful. (We don't drive). We will be trying to look at properties later this month.

Well, looks like I got a job in London! (From this very site) This is sort of a plea for information regarding properties to rent. The Mrs and I plan to buy a house in 6 months. Does anyone know of any decent flats for around/under £800 a month rent that is NOT a house share and will accept just a 6 month contract? We also have two cats that must come with us! Looking around the south south/west of London, Croydon area maybe? Not sure what the likely hood of a 6 month contract is though. Otherwise can anyone recommend a way of getting a bedsit for myself for a month or so until we can buy a house? Also, are there any popular London specific music forums I can join? Cheers! Rob.

Hello Tim. I sent in my application last week and requested a confirmation that it was received. I haven't had any reply yet. I am sure all is fine though! Rob.

Funnily enough, she is up for it! Tim, I have PMed you!

Pretty tempted by this, though it would take 3 days of convincing the Mrs to move to London!

Hey guys. At my school we use Chrome, this is because we have a few extensions students use in our IT department. However they are able to download other extensions which we don't want them to have. We could reimage and block the appstore, but is there anyway we can lock the current app list so nothing else can be installed? Also is there a way to install apps other then through the app store? Cheers! Rob.

Hey guys. I have a Sony VPCCA 1S1E in BRIGHT NEON GREEN with 14inch display. http://sp.sony-europe.com/da/366/138419.jpeg It has a Intel® Core i5-2410M processor, Windows 7 64BIT (Genuine), ATI 6470HD graphics, DVD writable drive. . Its a really funky looking thing. Now I have purchased some upgrades for it, you can either pay less for it with the original hardware or more with the upgrades! Original = RAM is 4GB of DDR3 1333MHZ, Original Harddrive is 320GB Western Digital BLUE. Upgrades = RAM is 8GB of Kingston HYPERX PNP ram, which is specially designed to "Automatically" Overclock your RAM to 1866MHZ by default when using sandybridge processors. Upgraded hard drive is a Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid SSD/Mechnical drive. 500GB. This drive has built in 4GB of flash memory so that your Windows startup can be much faster and the more well used files on the computer will be loaded faster then a conventional drive. The laptop does have some scratches on the top lid. Comes with the original box and paperwork, Only bought from Sony directly a few months ago. Photos available on request. Would much prefer the laptop to be picked up in Swindon SN2 Area. Will post at cost. Bank transfer MUCH preferred, Paypal accepted if buyer pays charges and has a confirmed address. http://www.sony.co.uk/product/vn-c-series/vpcca1s1e-g.cek With upgrades £610 Without upgrades £490 Shipping is extra. Cheers! Rob.

Welp. I ordered Deus ex HR through game.co.uk. Opened it up to find this. http://i.imgur.com/gJt6N.jpg Anyone else had this? How does it even happen? Really pissed off about it and game.co.uk has been changed to a all new badly designed website where the contact page/customer service pages are broken to hell. I'll be going into my local game, but I doubt they'll do anything about it. 1) Bought from game online, I find that the shops wont do anything in relation to the website. 2) Game will probably think I just removed the sticker/code that was in there and just gouging for a second code. 3) Game will just say its Square Enix's fault and talk to them. I just want to play it tonight! So who has responsibility? Its a manufacture error, however it is a physical problem with a missing code/sticker, so surely the retailer is liable as its not a service but something defective with the physical product?

So... Whats the best way to cancelling Virgin Media services?
Asomodai replied to Asomodai's topic in General Chat
Did you have to wait 30 days notice? -
I am moving to Swindon in just over a months time. I need to cancel my VirginMedia services. I am no longer in contract with them (Been with them 13 months). Anyone got a direct number to cancel or a cancellation address? I need to make sure it cancels before the next 30 day period (3 days). I have had really bad experiences cancelling before, hence my thread! Rob.

Also I looked into the current TV's LG supply. To get my exact configuration I would either have to take away a few specs (ones less HDMI slot and less screen resolution) Or get a better 3D enabled Plasma which does have the specs I had. Either way, there is no exact one. I did use all 3 of my HDMI slots, one for PC, PS3 and HD box. So I cant just have 2. -

No it doesant work like that, the landlord pays for the building insurance and maintenence, he has no responsibility for contents damage, its unfair but thats the way it is. -

It's a replacement like/like thing. Not sure if I can find the receipt for the TV, but they dont make em anymore. Currently there are two models that are equivilant one more expensive, one less expensive. Do they offer me the model of TV or do they just deliver it without telling me what it is and I then have to make an issue about it? Rob.
