  1. But he would almost certainly lose some functionality. Such as the use of a scrolling area on the trackpad.
  2. House is probably one of the best imports for UK TV.
  3. Congrats, sure you're over the moon
  4. I hope they've kept the ability to change the colour of the UI. The black looks fantastic imo.
  5. Looks good and finally Visio benefits from the ribbon interface.
  6. I much prefer the name Windows 7. No need for all these awful names anymore. It would be easier for n00b users too to have a number instead of any conncoction of meaningless names.
  7. I've noticed great speed improvements. For me, build 7057 was fast, 7068 was slower and the RC is back up to speed. After trying the 32bit Rc I have reinstalled to 64bit and all in all I'm very happy with the speeds. I very much doubt this laptop will see XP again
  8. Exactly the ones in Picture Styles. It's duch an odd problem and has occured on all my home machines. I'm pretty sure at one point it always worked, but now, even on a new install, it will only apply to screenshots, that is just pasted into Word.
  9. I have an issue thats beginning to irriate me. It appears in Word 2007 I can't apply all the fancy formatting features on images of any type e.g. Glow unless the picture is a screenshot. Has it always been this limited? Seems like quite an oversight in my opionion. Thanks in advance.
  10. I feel that a 12" is a little out of netbook territory. If you want a 12" laptop then the Q210 has a signifcant power increase over a netbook, obviously though at a higher price.
  11. Samsung Q210 Laptop Intel Core2Duo P8400(2.26Ghz) 3GB DDR2 (666Mhz) RAM 320GB Fujitsu (5,400RPM) HD nVidia GeForce 9200MGS 12" Widescreen Display (1280x800) I've found it a great middle ground between speed and portability.
  12. Seeing as you don't mind infringing on copyright:p then why not torrent? Much better imo.
  13. Movie Maker will be availabe as a download of the Windows Live suite I believe.
  14. Still lovin' my iPhone.
  15. The user must have Full Control over their resepective home folders I believe. I'm pretty sure they also need to be the Owner of the home folder too. though not too sure asit's been a while since I;ve set this up.
  16. I'm on. Search for LegendKillerUK.
  17. A remote control Growler from classic show Robot Wars off of eBay. I'm for collecting all the toys now
  18. Bebo and Twitter for me. Don't bother with Bebo much but check out Twitter several times a day.
  19. I just used vlite for this. Although you to have to install the Automated Installation Kit which takes a fair amount of HD space.
  20. At no point did I make out it was....
  21. I always thought that the Data Protection Act stated that a data holder has to take adequate protection to their data (as that could be at risk in this situation), an unsecured wireless connection does not seem like adequate proctection to me.
  22. LOL totally forgot, just heard the accent, please forgive me SYNACK
  23. I find it far too farfetch'd to be believeable. The whole scene seems so unrealistic right down to the pony in the background. Some of those Australian ones that SYNACK posted are alot better at getting to point across.
  24. I've installed it on an old desktop at the parents as a dual boot. Sempron 3300+, 1GB DDR RAM clcoked at a nippy 133Mhz and a 250GB HDD. It idles as a fresh install at 278MB usage, down from Vista's 700-800MB so I agree the differences in system footprint are a definate improvment. Looking good on my nippy Samsug Q210 too
  25. Setting is at Administrative Templates>Network>Offline Files. Apply policys on "Prevent use of Offline Files folder", "Prohibit user configuration of Offline Files" that should be enough but you can tinker about with any additional policies to ensure if you wish. Also make sure it is turned off at the share itself: Sharing tab of share, click the Cache button and disable it there too. The group policies mentioned above appear at both User and Computer Configuration.
