I actually think that I am enjoying GoT MORE having read the books and knowing the intricacies than I would have if I hadn't - I think TV dramatizations of complex book series like GoT can be difficult to follow and indeed there are a few things I would have been left scratching my head about if I didn't already know the score.

I think there is some confusion here - Stoneheart is not Lyanna Stark... Stoneheart arises as a result of both the Brotherhood without Banners and the Red Wedding, although I cannot say more without giving too much away but the convergence of the BWB and Red Wedding plotlines in the Stoneheart plotline is pivotal to the plotlines of Jamie and Brienne of Tarth so it can hardly be swept under the carpet. Although arguably the actor in the Stoneheart plotline COULD be played by someone different if the costuming was done right.

I would hope so as it is a fairly key development in the Brienne/Jamie storylines. I don't understand, which actor are you referring to? Stoneheart themselves? FWIW I don't believe that Syrio Forel is alive. I think he was exactly what he seemed to be - a fencing tutor and I think his death was symbolic as we know that Arya is walking a very unconventional path and I think Syrio's death was her first 'taste' so to speak. I don't think he is a servant of the House of Black and White although we know Jaquen Haggar (Sp?) definitely is and we've already seen him work his 'magic' in the TV series although it bothers me a little bit that his interactions with Arya aren't given more focus as they are key to her story progression.

He's given jobs to do to make himself useful and when Bran is hurt he's given the job of carrying around one of the HEIRS of the Stark family - quite a prominent position. When Theon sacked Winterfell, Hodor was hidden and protected and now they are on the road he is no more of a slave than Osha. He is free to leave but due to his mental deficiencies he can't look after himself. Sounds to me like he's well cared for and an important person to the Stark household. Having read the series and knowing what was coming I was actually really excited to see how they'd handle it. I love the dynamic between Arya and The Hound and how they handled the Wolf was interesting. I was shocked by the initial brutality towards Jeyne as I don't remember this in the book but it worked really well as a dose of cold water to start the scene. The actress playing Caitlyn Stark did really well although she wasn't nearly as deranged as I was hoping for.

As the original people aren't there to comment any information from the site is automatically several times removed from reality. New testimonials should help that defo. The company should just nuke them rather than faff about logging in. Sounds dodgy to me and if @davepetty had previously been in the industry as he suggests then he would know that giving out passwords is a big no no for data protection not to mention the potentially harmful child-specific data that may be on said old laptops. Work Experience is exactly that - Experience of work and the industry in particular. When I did work experience I ended up in the Civic Centre Library and it was brilliant - they put together a varied program for me giving me a total induction to a wide variety of library tasks - I even went out on the book bus for a day. That student probably requested an IT role and is probably quite excited about seeing what you guys do and seeing how the IT industry works 'behind the scenes'. First thing to find out is exactly how technical he is - I doubt he'd have applied for an IT role if he didn't have some interest so it is worth finding out how much. Put together a timetable of things for him to be involved with - if a large part of the role is servicing tickets then let him service some tickets. Get him into the server room doing something specific - if you are doing a bunch of cable maintenance get him to help out. Work Experience students can't be expected to just 'know' stuff though so they will need explicit instruction and some supervision. Building VMs is probably a good place to start - get him a PC with a chunky HDD and virtual box and invent a mini network for him to build to show him what it is like managing that sort of thing. We have a great task for new Smoothwall Engineers where they must use virtualbox or VMWare to build a whole cluster of interconnected Smoothwalls on different subnets with VPNs, Hardware Failover, Parent and child replication etc with Zone bridging, an AD server and a workstation. Something like that would keep him busy for AGES and it only has to be fairly simple but would give him a good idea of the complexities involved in network management as he'd have to look into subnetting, routing, zone bridging etc.

We do have a pot floating around - I believe Thomas and Lyndon used to use it but now we have far too many people and most drink coffee so it is not worth the hassle. I thought about a 'tea for one' pot but I like to leave my fruit tea bags in the cup to continue steeping while I drink it as I prefer the flavour strong.

You could always see if there is a Rocky Horror production going on and make him dress up for that - my sister recently attended one and it was.... extreme. lol.
