Nope that's always been the case, even the install the software on all computers when you have 1 board is a grey area rather than "allowed" Steve
-
By default DFS blocks loopbacks, but you can enable it with a regfix EnableDfsLoopbackTargets not sure it's a win10 issue though as pretty sure that's always been the case unless you have another problem? Steve
-
Not directly, we just have our KMS on it as it's the one-stop shop for pc builds/software etc Steve
-
Yep no reason to have a seperate server for KMS/VAMT at all really Steve
-
Well unless you're blocking all downloads etc, any random zip'd download could contain an exe even without memory sticks etc Personally I'd ninja copy, fire up a VM that's got no network and run it and see if it's a real version, if so that's more than enough reason to ban him off the network if he's bringing it in whether running it or not Steve
-
DarkComet's an old remote trojan, but you need it installed by an admin (well UAC wise) in the first place, that on it's own is enough reason to hammertime him Steve
-
Well there's a few places depending how you want it setup, but as an example if you go to: sudo leafpad /etc/profile Then add: export http_proxy="http://proxyaddress:port" export https_proxy="http://proxyaddress:port" That should get your normal webbrowsing working. For APT it should still be something like: sudo leafpad /etc/apt/apt.conf then add Acquire::http::Proxy "http://proxyaddress:8080/";Acquire::https::Proxy "http://proxyaddress:8080/";Acquire::ftp::Proxy "ftp://proxyaddress:8080/"; (Been awhile since I did a pi but pretty sure that's right context for raspbian) Steve

[insider preview] Non-admin font installation in Windows 10 (New feature in v1809)
Steve21 replied to Arthur's topic in Windows 10
That seems quite a terrible idea for a school.... Cue 999 tickets that when people send documents to teachers/reprographic etc they lose all their formatting as they don't have said fonts installed? "But it works fine on myyyy screen!" Steve -
He said in another thread before it was about restoring a working network at a computer museum or something similar Steve
-
It's basically the API middle-man for other apps to get bits, so guessing while it should be fine in disabling it it'd stop most other apps doing things too. So might be easier to just leave GPS alone and then do it individually as you mentioned Steve
-
Well sort of Generally people disable it as it's not needed and just adds another layer of issues in, but there's also no reason it should allow them to bypass filtering. It's still a client on the same network going out the same route etc. Generally some ISPs/Firewalls physically won't route ipv6 etc, but if they're getting out there's something else causing the problem I'd say. For example they may only have filtering applied to a certain ip range etc So how is the network setup, the clients with ipv4/6 are on the same range and pointing to same proxy? Steve

Most of those keys already exist so you might need to use replace/update etc rather than create, may explain why it's not updating them. Steve

If its your domain machines any reason you aren't just using office? O.o I assumed this was their own devices/streams etc Steve
-
No option to just give them the option of using the french keyboard layout then? Or is it on and off usage? Steve
-
But did you remember to whitelist it?!? That'll fix it all! Steve
-
I'm guessing that isn't including the base papercut license though if you're renewing? Just support? Steve
-
Is the quote broken down at all? as might be worth asking them to do so. The embed licenses are costed based on the machine I think, so they could be anywhere from say £50 to £300~ a machine (based on the $ rate), if you're buying that separately to your normal leasing costs I guess that might explain where the difference is from. Also when you say installation etc is maintenance included on the actual server? Steve
-
Annually we're paying about £600 for 8 copiers, but I don't know if there's other bits included in the cost regarding the embedded aspect in the lease (as a note it's based on users rather than copiers, but in regards to the embedded it's 8) Steve

Under the Impero Server (not console) go to tools -> injection exclusions Steve -
Ha yes that reminds me of one of the projectors we hired for an event before, all the singing features but damn the price if it was bought outright! Panasonic PT-RZ12K WUXGA 3 DLP Laser Projector is what we hired and it's about £47k~ "without lens" etc to buy >.< like damn I want one to keep! Steve
