Sounds like a good Raspberry Pi project there, there are quite a few resources available for monitoring temp, just needs a bit of thought to setup.

I think I sorted it, haven't heard any bad news yet, in the ebd u had to use the removal tool, and remove all the registry entries, when I installed the latest version it worked fine.

if I log onto a machine with admin, no problems. log in as teacher and flash doesn't work, if I go and test flash at adobe , it tells me its all there and installed and it is the right version number, just doesn't work and I get a reply such as flash needed go here and install. Doing my head in now, not sure what to look at next, im currently doing updates on the machine to see if it has been a failed update that is causing the issue.

Just wondering if anybody has been experiencing flash issues with IE since Microsoft rolled out a load of updates last week, we seem to have had a lot. I am wondering now if it is just us, seems to be possibly a change in permissions as my admin account works perfectly fine, but my test teacher account now wont play flash objects. Tested both accounts on different machines all with the same results, i am, a bit baffled now.

we use Microsoft Expression encoder, works well, but is limited to about 10 mins, which is plenty of time for here

i have had exactly the same thing myself many times, after much head scratching and messing about with cables, i released the screws at the bottom of the board a little to allow the board to go back into shape and it fixed it straight away. Its becasue the walls are not flush, and by fixing the board to the wall solidly it gets twisted ever so slightly out of shape, so that it will never calibrate.

we buy the apps with an id we created specifically for it, then the apps pushed out. as the app is already paid for it just goes. The users own apple id they can then use to download free apps with. we only deal with apps with a cost.

Totally agree with the foot in the door is the hardest part, i had the bits of paper but nobady would give me a chance. I had almost given up and i was a Science Technician(Being a Process Plant Engineer) for 15 years before that, i finally got the break in the school where i was and never looked back. i was 39 when i got my break. I had to step in once in currys, when a sales person was tring to sell one of those gold plated optical audio leads. I asked how it improves the transmission of light etc listened to him babble for a while and told the customer to go buy one over the road for a fiver. The bloke said cheers I will mate and walked away. I just cannot stand to listen to rubbish spouted by sales staff.

bought a Samsung 65" 4K tv about 6 monts ago, and its amazing, upscales everything to 4k, with really good results. I love mine and wouldn't be without it now.

just done a bit of investigation, there is no executable, you download a zip file, that you unzip to your documents folder, and browser runs from there. Little devils, just ran a find/remove script on the folder it extracts too. Not fixed but will give me a chance to play in the morning. There should be some way of only allowing Chrome or IE traffic to pass through a Smoothwall, instead of all the weird and wonderfully stuff out there. We block .exe`s via group policy by the way.

we block executables too, they are still managing to run the bloody thing though.

Hi everyone just wondered if anybody has ever ran into this little gem of a software called Slim Browser, I have discovered some students running it from their documents folder, and as a nice default it disables the proxy so they don't get filtered.

I waited in once for a delivery, the bloke ran up the drive , shoved a thing trough the door, one of those attempted delivery things, and drove off, I went to catch him, but he was already away by the time I got outside. Never knocked or anything.

we use a network share that students have access to, they dropo their work into their and the teacher or technician down there print it out, there are safety deevices on the laser cutter, but the little darlings love to find ways of bypassing stuff like that.

We already have a single username and password system with office 365, we use DirSync to sync active directory with office, and it works great

We use a networked machine, but with local admin on the machine. works well with no issues and lasercut 5.3 seems to like it

cisco meraki points are awesome, cloud controlled. We have started to replace out Trapeze system with them.They are a little more expensive, but awesome to run and configure.

we used an iPad and iMovie last year with no issues.
