  3. Voicehost might be worth a look at, there is no inbuilt failover but you can set custom destinations via a web interface. UK VoIP Internet Phone Service - Free VoIP Calls, Virtual PBX
  4. I have been to the last two Gadget show, it is well worth going. There are still tickets left for this years Gadget show. Here is a link the website for the gadget show The Gadget Show Live 2012
  5. If it is a hard drive password, you will have to contact acer and ask for a override password. The jumper won't remove the hard drive password. If you want to re-use the laptop you could remove the hard drive and insert a new one, because the password is stored on the hard drive not in the BOIS.
  6. OMG! I shouldn't laugh but it is so funny!
  7. I understand your point but surely there should be some realism and some possibility to it happening. Technology is anywhere near that yet and it certainly not in the near future. Anyway how much is that car going to cost, when it comes out? Surely no one be able to afford it.
  8. The link below is a video on youtube of a concept car by Toyota called the Fun vii. This is either a joke or a very far off mad design! Toyota Fun Vii - YouTube! There is also a spelling mistake in the video on the information page they have put infomation. Plus at 1:28 in the bottom left hand comer there is a Microsoft logo! We have enough accidents on our roads without having Microsoft contribute to them. Enjoy having a laugh at this video.
  9. They are great! I haven't seen that TV program for years!!!!

  12. We have xibo set up here. We have the same issue as well. I have not tried this yet but in theory it should work without a hitch. You could create a webpage that you host internally, with a java based ticker and then use a PHP script to download and manipulate a RSS file. Give me a shout if you want a copy of the code I created. Hope this helps Ben
  13. The laptop that you can't get to itunes store on, does it ask you for a username and password when you go to the internet via internet explorer??
  14. Hi Steve Sorry about that I don't know where that came from. Have a look at this instead: How to manage stored user names and passwords on a computer in a domain in Windows XP Sorry once again Benjie

  17. @e-class Hi did you find out which verision of regedit you use? Thanks Benjie
  18. @sted: Like I said originally if I use a log on script like you said, you get the following error message: "Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator". @mounters: Which client side extension hot fix are you going on about? @myk-it: That is not practical since I want to create a load of keys.
  19. Hi I am wanting to deploy a .reg file to all the computers on our domain. The problem is that it alter keys in the current user hive. We have locked down our security by disabling registry editing. So I can not just deploy it via a simply log on script like the one below. regedit /s file.reg If you try deploying it as a log on script you get the following error message:"Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator". Does anyone know a way of getting round this? Using a .adm file is not easy, since I am adding a load of keys. We are running: Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows XP Thanks
  20. It is just the first time during that session.
  21. Hi Someone may have already posted a thread about this problem but I can't find one. We are running Office 2003 on windows XP, we have windows server 2008 R2.The first time that a user opens a word document from windows explorer users get the windows configuration message. When Word eventually opens you get a form asking you to enter your name and initials bellow. Once you have done this you just get a grey blank background. You now then have to open your document again. Any help would be appreciated
  22. Hi It might be worth you having a look at lapsafe. There are several differenet models that you can choose depending on your needs and requirements. I did not see the demo that we got at our school but from what I have heard that you can charge the laptop in the safe and when each laptop has finished charging it automatically stops the charging that laptop. When all the laptops are completely charged it will stop drawing powers from the mains. Well worth a look. Here is a link for you: Laptop Security | Laptop Cabinet | Laptop Trolley | Laptop Cart | LapSafe UK. It might be a bit over priced for what your looking for but great units. We are currently considering getting some of these instead of going down the rout of individual learning devices.
