We as support staff know how difficult it is at times to please everyone,must be the same @link2ict,yes they have noted the bad communication with the Email upgrade and the Firewall replacement and i did see some red faces when mentioned.

A change of managers has happened and staff training in the pipeline across the board,sounds like a positive move!

To be honest i can't slate Link2ict as they did make the effort to organize a meeting so those that have gripes and issues can voice them directly,for those that could not attend for what ever reason oh well maybe next time. Now i think we have to give them the benefit of the doubt instead of unnecessarily writing them off as it was only yesterday we gathered. Well that's my thoughts on it !!

I think we sort of said Hi! i was the guy you spoke to first when you came in, you asked me about the information pack that was on the table...the short long haired dude lol

Taa daa, At last we had a meeting with Link2ict that does not involve the dreaded sales pitch.. @Little-Miss i knew who you were from the point go, as for anyone else, err no apart from the Account Managers and a couple of engineers from Link. Overall it was a productive feedback session points from both sides have been aired and taken on board,as was mentioned we should be at the front of all communications as we are the bods sorting out the challenges/problems.. Now that we an have an idea of what to expect the next time we will hopefully have some more productive ideas/pointers to voice..

I have battled with this and i lost! Contacted Panasonic and no reply which equates to no solution. Buy a new interactive plasma, Keep Windows XP, Battle on.

Just had interviews for an apprentice this week! Dozens of applications,short listed 7 and 2 turned up for the interview! Young man starting in 2014. Very keen has basic knowledge of how things work,aware of different operating systems,has experience of working in a school environment. The school will get funding,the apprentice will get experience and some qualifications at the end and possibly a job. Thank you for all your feedback and solutions it is appreciated, tension wires and a clamp sound like the best option. Feedback from the supplier was if the pole was shortened and the uni struts were reinforced this would solve the problem! Question:how would this work when the keystone was adjusted? i adjusted the keystone and the keystone is limited,this option will not work as i don't want to sacrifice a quality image just so it will fit on the screen! Thinking about it makes sense for the AV supplier/installer to use the correct installation materials/projector and measure up before hand as this will result in a better solution for US the customer as this will be hanging in the hall for years to come. This has and is a learning curve for future projects, will definitely need to find some additional suppliers and add them to my contact list, the problem i have found over the 10 years working in schools is the ICT supplier will nearly always sub-contract the work out, what i need is an AV specialist and a company that can fully understand the schools need with regards to ICT server/computer installations and configurations (any recommendations please please please).

We have to think about replacing the projector as the keystone is minimal on this projector and i don't want to sacrifice image quality for keystone.

Yes the uni struts are way too long. Image size 102" diagonal. Projection onto a manual pull down screen. Projector EPSON EB-1880. The Epson projector calculator was used to determine the correct installation distance and height. Goes to show that these should only be used as a guide. The alternative fixes 1: shorten pole to 1 meter. 2: shorten pole and move closer to the screen. 3 replace projector shorten pole and move closer to the screen. Decisions decisions?
