It seems as though I may need to make a support call! Thank you for your help, I was hoping it would be simple but I guess without knowing where the files are this will be a problem!

Hi, I am currently covering for the Network Manager (who has just left) and have been asked to update a desktop from version 629 to 630. It's been a while since i've done anything along these lines so rather than "have a play" I thought I'd drop a quick message in here to see if any of you lovely people may be able to help. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated! Thank you,

ICT Technician - Lyndon School, Solihull, West Midlands

You don't need an apprenticeship with those qualifications, or at least I doubt you could find an apprenticeship that offers you more in terms of qualifications. Voluntary work is probably your best option if it's experience you're lacking. Good luck! -
For future preference, I found this handy to break down all the technical side of things. Buying Guide Hope this helps others

Well, funny you say that! Before it finally got reported to me, it had 2 professional monkeys inspect it! Why people don't leave it to the experts I don't know Thanks for your speedy reply, looks like I will have to send it off.

I've had a similar problem. It was a while back, but I believe we changed the registry to force the wireless to attempt a connection after so many seconds. I can't seem to find a link anywhere, but if you or anyone else has this problem again it is a possible solution to look at

Sounds like we're missing something here. Have you had the laptop back yourself to test it and did you manage to recreate the problem? I always find problems like this tend to be with the user and not the laptop. Things I think it could possibly be; Network connection - (dependant on where you're saving it) - I've seen problems like this before when moving from different wireless points around a building. It could even be picking up 2 different wireless points and exchanging connection between the two. User error - It could be anything from saving with the wrong file name to corrupting the file with too many .jpegs (haven't really used the software in a while so i'm just speculating) I hope i've given you some ideas, let me know what testing you've done and maybe we can narrow this down a bit more.

Not sure on what advice to give as everyone wants to pursue different roles and are interested in different areas. As an Trainee IT Tech I studied MCITP: Server Administrator, CompTIA A+ & Network+. Personally I'm going to look for more networking certificates next as that's what interests me most - Like I said, it's personal preference at the end of the day. Here are some Microsoft certs to consider
