Thats the boyo, just to confirm, does this support PXE migration with RIS etc?

Thats certainylt he impression that i have getting from the trial, it is totally rubbish from a professional perspective. Just with not 'keeping the finger on the pulse' so to speak, i am after some clarification and also to see what everyone else is using, i know a couple are using version 11, but not too sure what the latest version is out there. Cheers, for that.

HI all, Not long til the Easter break now! I have been looking at updating ghost, I have been using mainly version 8.0 for my image however decided to buy what I found to be now called 'Norton Ghost 14', the interface has totally changed and can I hell as find the ghost cast server and PXE ghosting options I like. Can someone clarify for me that I have the right upgrade, surely there aren’t to 'Ghost' packages on the market, I usually keep up to date with ghost as I have carried out a lot of research and development work on them, especially version 7-8. Have I missed something? I heard Norton were taking Symantec over a while back, but didn't expect things to change this much!

Hi all, I have the challenge of putting an Acer Travelmate 4200 Series back to XP professional . I am usually a Dell or HP man; however someone has it in for me! I am tempted just to backup all the data and wipe the machine and out XP pro on, however, I cannot find 'ALL' the drivers on the net, however there seems to be a folder on the C drive called 'DRV' with a few in, I’m hoping these are compatible with XP and vista. However, are there any known issues with put XP on an Acer machine? I know there can be a few issues with HP with there pre-configured sectors etc. At the minute, I am tempted to put another HDD in the laptop, install XP and the drivers I have found so far and see what fails. If all is well, do it for real on the original HDD.

I wish we could do stuff like that, under BSF and coporatly we have to send ours to be professionally disposed of for data security etc. It's a real shame, as other people could use them, where talking Optiplex GX250's to 270's here.

It looks good. Does it support push email? It has email built in, however for accessing the likes of Gmail and hotmail etc, i would imagine its 'pull' mail where you have to navigate to the website and login etc, i would expect anyway.

I wouldn't say it's good, but here's ebuyers offer, you can get better deals on contract etc. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135039

Good point, i started this evening looking for 1 new phone, i could have 5 new gadgets by the end of the night!

Cool,

I second that, the new v20.0.0.15 firmware makes a hell of alot of difference to the phone, if you like it now upgrade to v20 firmware and it improves alot! Is that the new 8gig N95 :?: This one: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135039

The N800 Tablet is fab gadget as is the Motorola KRAZR a sleek, stylish phone, however i need all of these features in one package, slim is nice but the N95 packs so much.

I'm interested in this too, some of the guys at work have these, i just kept forgetting the name, They seem pretty impressed like.

Valid point!

Cheers, Which version, the origional silver or the new 8gb with supposid better battery life. Any one have any experience of the NEw 8GB version yet, is the battery life any good?

Hi all, I have decided i am in the market for a new mobile phone , as its been nearly 4 years since i last upgraded. Any suggestions, at the minute i am looking at the Sasung G600 and the NEW Nokia N95 8GB. I am more torn towards the Nokia as i wanted the previous N95 however was put off due the poor battery life :x etc, this new one is meant to be better and it has GPS etc built in. Any ideas...?

Yeh, there's somethin about public sector jobs where you *have* to advertise, not that they bother with that up here - and as for the council sending someone up, we should be so lucky - our council don't wanna know schools unless they're benefitting fiscally. Ah..thats where we fell short, our council won the in house bid for BSF, so kinda had to keep the schools on side the 2 years prior to the bidding etc!

When we manage to tweak the purse strings of the management we have to submit all of our potst on the local authority website and the local newspaper, or central IT send someone up from the civic centre. I didn't realise other LA's did things any different, for state schools anyway.

True...I'll give you that one!

Competition scandals...the BBC..? Surely not?

Next they'll be having telephone competitions and choosing the winner before the lines close. Sorry, That doesn't sound like the BBC at ALL!
