Got problems with Windows 10 and Smart E70 display. (this worked on the same computer on W7) Trying to set up the display and all device manager is saying "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) A request for the USB device descriptor failed." I have tired other ports (including a USB3 port and still no luck. I havent tired another cable yet but i got 2 rooms doing the same problem. Its a MSI H81M-P33 with a Pentium Dual Core, All Drivers are installed via the website. Any ideas?

Forgot to ask. Can we wake PC's over VLAN's now?

Yep both drivers are installed on the print server. Be nice to know but the drivers are on the print server. I can add the printer via control panel and it will install. (Does ask admin right during install for driver)

Have you checked the basics? We kind of need some more information about your system? O365 or onsite exchange? Can you ping your exchange server? Can you can access OWA? Firewall settings?

Just noticed all my computers/server all have different times. Is there way to set up a time sync server so all my computers have the right time?

Got an issue with a OKI B412 not deploying it drivers. I've checked event viewer and no real error message appeared there. Event ID: 4098 I've checked the registry and have and have changed PrinterDriverAttributes to "5" and its still not deploying? What am i doing wrong?

Just a quick question about the updates on Windows 10 v1607 and above. What is your update settings do you have on your computers? How do you get rid of the blue prompt which forces uses to open the update page? (Or make it appear as a notification) Cheers.

Just to add/ask Has anyone played with server 2016 server backup? Has hyper-v options?

Raid 1 for the 300GB's. Raid 10 for 2TB's. I try to avoid Raid 5/6 where I can. I'm sure with raid 10 you got 4x read speed and 2x write. (Don't quote me 100% as it was a raid calculator.)

I would like too upgrade our 2008 RDP server from 2008 R2 to 2016. One thing i'm questioning my self is licencing. I know our 2008 is licenced but what do i do about 2016? (I'am building a fresh server and not upgrading our current one)

We just had a batch of computers delivered from VeryPC Intel Pentium Dual Core (7th Gen). 4GB DDR4 120GB SSD (No DVD) 3 years warranty, for a good price (32 ordered) TAP licence will save you some money. (As the machines are underspec'ed. You can add ram afterwards.) But seems quick enough for a general use. The old ones (Core i3 2nd gen 4gb Ram 160GB HD) have replaced older Dell Optiplex's 330/360 around the site. Once we get the budget for next year i will replace the 160GB Spinners to 120GB SSD's Unsure what will happen next year as all our IT rooms will have SSD's.

I ran the powershell script above and it got the part number for the ram installed. Gives me a clue if i can mix with it. I was running it on the host.. (24gb for a hyper-v is not enough...)

The server is a Intel S2400BB (Well the motherboard is anyway..)

Crucial wont pick it up.... CPU-Z wont see any memory in the slots....

How do find out what type of ram is in a server? Other than turning it off and opening the case is there a another way?

I will have a play tomorrow after i reboot and firmware update the switch. Do i try and do it on a trunk and leave out lcap? Its been bugging me all day. And now im at home i can think and wonder about it. Trying different things at home via rdp.
