OK so this has me more stuck than any other problem i have had in a while... Had call from admin department say they cant access the files on the server. setup, various hyper-v servers including 2 dc's dc1 cannot talk to dc2 unless its done by ip. if you try using unc 'logon failure the target account name is incorrect' dc2 can talk to dc1 no issues DC1 is RID DC2 is PDC & info etc dns is integrated and running on dc1 and dc2 and both can lookup each other no issues. dcdiag on dc2 results no errors dcdiag on dc1 throws error after error on kerberous DCDIAG /test:CheckSecurityError on dc1 reports error cant bind ldap to dc2 anyone got any ideas I have been working on this for the last 6 hours

this is driving me and some of the staff here nuts I have a suite of which macs 2 of I upgraded to maverick, they are fully updated to 10.9.1 this was supposed to fix a issue with keychains prompts Addresses an issue that may cause multiple prompts to unlock “Local items” keychain but yet I am still getting the keychain prompt on logins, I have tried the delete the long key folder within ~/Library/Keychains/ of both users and local admin accounts and neither of these fixed the problem. any help would sooth my pains on this..

Thanks, but i think I may not have posted the issues correctly, its not a AD issue or home folder issue its local users desktop files when using the migration tool from old mac to new one, it will not copy over network account user desktop files only local users are listed in the migration tool.

I have used a few over the years currently using smoothwall, its good but not top of my list, It also very expensive. Im currently waiting for a sophos unit to test. I'm a big fan of sonicwall, but have not had any dealing since the change to Dell, prices are good though. I am currently active to look to see what else is out there now.

Hi Just wanted to throw this in the conversation If you want SSL filtering and you have the need to use skype, then be very wary, as Last time I checked the only device that did it was the sonicwall I could be wrong because last time i was looking was 18 months ago, but its worth mentioning.
