1. I quite enjoyed it, nice to see Syfy doing Sci-Fi. Lets see what episode 2 (or 3) is like, since the pilot is sometimes better than the actual show
2. Thanks for the info mitchell, I'll add some stuff to make the extension lowercase when doing the checks
3. edugeek exclusive: Keep an eye on http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/app/home-access-plus-my-files/83c7c64d-6f8d-4532-8c39-76b4fb83e9d3, something magical should make it's appearance there today
4. WP8 is a bit quicker with the updates, also nokia are quicker again.
5. Go to the HAP+ homepage Click on the Management Tab Click on the HAP+ Config tile Click on the Booking System Tab Edit a resource In the Years to allow bookings:, enter a comma separate list of years to show in the drop down
6. Go to the HAP+ Settings and change it in there, it's a per resource thing
7. 1. v9 Preview is available, it's sort of hidden on the codeplex site at the moment though 2. Yes, open ~/master.masterpage and edit the html to suite. You can replace the logo and colours by editing ~/style/basestyle.css
8. See if anyone finds this: Home Access Plus+ - Source Code,
9. Good to hear it's fixed.
10. Little update on this:

12 April 2013

Important information about the Windows 7 SP1 64-bit download for CC4 Our recent communications to you about an issue with Windows 7 SP1 64-bit download for CC4 may have caused some confusion. We are working on a fix for a particular issue that ONLY affects Terminal Server computers if they are core upgraded. Other computers are not affected and can be core upgraded or rebuilt in the usual way. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused. CC4UPD139 (which includes a fix for this Terminal Server issue and some bug fixes) is currently in validation and should be available soon. We recommend that you DO NOT core upgrade Terminal Servers until this is released and installed on your network.

@Danp beat me to it
11. Dunno why they do it like that but it's what they advise, it probs a way of making sure that it's a clean install of SQL. Usually the connection string changes as well, in our case the LA set it up so it's sims_2005/sims_2008/sims_2008r2 (sql server version). Hopefully will make the 2012 jump in the summer
12. Make sure that you've set the default file type in IIS to default.aspx
13. That's off my office pc is IE10 and smart cache loads fine
14. Same here, not available there, I contact RM and they said that I'd have to buy it
15. What colour is the light on the side of the smart board? What version of the smartboard software do you have installed?
16. Glad it's not just me there. Does anybody know how much the Windows 8 Smartclient Costs? I was told we could just have it, since I'd be testing it out on existing, CC4 licensed PCs I should think RM should just give it to us. Mainly want it for my Office PC, having Windows 8 on all my other pc's, having to go back to Windows 7 is actually a PITA
17. Odd, wonder how I got that email then . Hope you enjoyed the Brecon Beacons Nation Park. Hmm, side note 2: Pressing enter in the WYSIWYG editor doesn't seem to do anything in IE10 Metro, had to switch the editor to source mode @Dos_Box
18. RM did send an email out telling people to stop deploying it until a new software patch comes out though, UPD139

9 April 2013

Important information about the Windows 7 SP1 64-bit download for CC4 We have identified an issue with the Windows 7 SP1 64-bit product which we are working to address with CC4UPD139. This issue also affects terminal servers and CC4 Anywhere so please do not core upgrade your terminal servers until after CC4UPD139 has been made available and installed. We expect to release the update by the beginning of May.

19. I was on the field trial, but Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (64-bit) for Community Connect 4
20. He should only use flash for IE8 and bellow really. It does work though, just tested it on an ipad (I'd presumed it didn't because of it being flash)
21. No because it uses flash
22. I'll see about WP7.5, it depends how VS2012 IDE works with Windows Phone, whether is just a checkbox that sets the OS version, or not. It is just a checkbox then WP7.8 will be supported
23. Got it in our main ICT suites, and it works brilliantly, but we use Sophos as our AV. The only other issue is SIMS SOLUS3, had to install that manually on the pcs where it'd be needed. The other issue is any custom scripts that reference specific folders, ie. for our custom Wallpapers, basically you have to overwrite some of the GPOs and have custom msi installers to install into the correct folder in c:\
24. Our year groups are sorted into Intake Years, 12XY = 2012 Year 7. Grouping beyond that isn't done
25. For you Win 8 Store App followers: It will require a v9 install. There will be a 7 day trial of the app before you have to shell out 99p for it. More features will be added to future versions, unless I get really bored later today/tomorrow. Programming this app on my Core i7 beast at home and then a Intel Centrino Duo Toshiba laptop from 4 years ago, it's a big difference, mind the laptop has inbuild HSDPA (if we got that round here)
