Would you believe it, just popped in the replacement drive that @ICTDirect_Dave sent and another drive failed. The failed drive had been giving unexpected sense errors but just the odd one so I didn't take any notice of them. Looks like I'll be contacting Dave again. Just for the record, this server is one of the Acer Olympic servers so must make a note never to buy Acer again.

Not having a responsive website doesn't mean mobile uses won't be able to access your site, it just means they will need to scroll more. Here is a website checker. I can honestly say I wasn't expecting such a push towards responsive websites. Thank you everyone for your input which is duly noted. Tomorrow when I'm back at the school I will look again at the different templates available.

No, not all users just the ones who use the mandatory profile. I have remade the profile and the problem went away.

What a timesaver! If I had known these were available it would have saved me changing the leads as it can be very time consuming when the lead comes down the middle of the pole and you have to remove the plug to get the cable out.

It time we updated our Joomla website so have been looking around at different templates. One school caught our eye and I see it's using a template from Yootheme. It looks the business and the head and myself both agree the design is just what we are looking for but the only problem if you can call it a problem is that the template is not responsive. How much of an issue would it be if the site is not responsive? Our current site is responsive and I don't like the way it looks on my mobile so to me it's not important but would like to hear the views of others? There is quite a lot on google about this and a very quick read shows I'm not the only one who doesn't like responsive websites.

So one of the 146GB Seagate SAS HD's has failed in the RAID. Can I replace it with another SAS HD of a different brand or will I have to stick to Seagate so they are all the same make?

Right so it is the profile that is causing the cert error but there's no sign of any openhive cert in IE. Very odd. But if that wasn't enough a quick and dirty fix is to open IE first before opening Outlook then there isn't any cert error and Outlooks opens fine.

Well that works fine and is the only way staff can access their email. The cert is unaltered as it should be.

That is just my point, the Exchange cert is by Trustico and not Openhive.

Right so I've got Exchange 2010 with Outlook 2010 clients and everything was working fine, no problems at all for the last 4 years. Now all of a sudden staff are getting a security alert saying the cert has a problem. The only changes I'm aware of is the webfilter has changed and up until autumn last year the school was using the Openhive web filter and one could install their cert on domain machines to enable https inspection. Now the school has moved to Capital Bytes filter the openhive cert is not required so I removed it via gp. What's interesting here is why staff are getting the error. Looking at the attached, the view certificate box it still lists openhive when we have nothing to do with them anymore. The cert valid from / to dates are correct so I'm guessing we are somehow connecting to openhive and that is why we are receiving the error. In IE the proxy is correctly set to Capital Bytes and all domain machines have been changed using netsh so I don't know why the old proxy is still in play.

So I'm in the middle of moving the school AV from Kaspersky to Eset and it's time to install on the servers. What is the recommended settings for a server as I've been looking at old posts and there seems to be conflicting advice. Some say don't have real time scanning just a scheduled scan as workstations scan network drives while others say have server real time scanning enabled and disable the workstation network scanning. I can see positives in both ways just wondered what others do?

I've got it working in the end but resorted to manually installing the endpoint. Using RDCM so can remote into whole rooms of machines at once so helps a little I suppose.

I see and yes you are correct, iMovie was installed using the store last year which I had forgotten about. iMovie is free but I needed a code to install it through configurator and it took Apple 2 weeks to sort it out so I was forced to use the store as the app was needed quickly. So if I use configurator and only allow configurator installed apps will the popup disappear?

I've configured our iPads using Apple configurator and I'm getting a popup asking to sign in to the Apple Store. How can I stop this as all apps are installed using configurator so I don't need or want to use the store?

Right, this school has got 30 iPads all configured with Apple Configurator. All apps and proxy is setup using configurator and everything works fine. Now there is a residential trip planned and I've been asked to 'unlock' a few iPads so they can be used on the hotel wifi. I took an iPad home and tested it and found I can add another wifi but as the proxy is set using configurator it is still locked to the school proxy which renders the new wifi useless. How can I set the iPad to not use a proxy or even better make it so a different proxy can be added if needed? I have thought about wiping the iPad to it's factory defaults but that seems a little drastic and there should be a better way.
