FYI ESS have advised that there is an issue with consolidated workstation patch 2, which is triggering a fault code Cannot find Table 11 or 12 in SIMS when you are trying to generate the school census. An amended patch (Consolidated Workstation Patch 2 - School Census Early Years & DAF) ask for this patch
  2. And then you get and American advisor so you only have 2 hours a day for a quick email exchange so it takes five times longer to fix anything.
  3. daily supply use a pre generated supply account with daily changing password. LTS are added to sims.
  4. Same here we use Salamander, HR have to add user to sims then overnight process to create account and sync to 365 ready for the morning.

  8. we use a batch file for different sets of pcs, running from a scheduled task on a dc with %windir%\system32\shutdown.exe /s /m \\machine-name /f /t 0

  10. this is what i do to stop users from accessing sims on workstations but it will work on the server - Click Start. - All Programs. - Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 - Configuration Tools. - SQL Server Configuration Manager. - Expand the SQL Server Network Configuration option. - Select the correct instance name (I.e. Protocols for SQL2008) - Double click Named Pipes - Change enabled to 'No' - Click Apply and OK. - Click OK to the message. - Double click TCP/IP. - Change enabled to 'No' - Click Apply and OK. - Click OK to the message. The SQL Service will now need to be restarted. This can be done via the following: - Click Start. - Click Run and enter the following command 'services.msc' - This will open the Microsoft Services Menu. - Locate the SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 service. - Select the Stop this service option. - Once complete, select the Start this service option. This will stop the Users from connecting to the Server outside of the actual box, please now run the specified application as required. When complete, please do the following: - Click Start. - All Programs. - Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014. - Configuration Tools. - SQL Server Configuration Manager. - Expand the SQL Server Network Configuration option. - Select the correct instance name (I.e. Protocols for SQL2008) - Double click Named Pipes - Change enabled to 'Yes' - Click Apply and OK. - Click OK to the message. - Double click TCP/IP. - Change enabled to 'Yes' - Click Apply and OK. - Click OK to the message.   12. We also have frog but have no idea how to port it through the isa server any help would be appreciated
