Open outlook with the new pst file for the user in question then go to file- open-outlook data file and open the other data file then you can select all the emails from one inbox and right click select move to move them to the inbox of the other pst file.You can export the calendar as a csv file and then import it to the correct pst file

Hi can you help. I have a VBS script below which updates the user account “log on to” properties in Active directory. Basically the script adds computers that the user can log on too. However as we have over 400 PC’s but we only want them to have access to 300 of them it will take some time to add the 300 in the form"COMPS300, COMPS172, COMPS173" I realise this can be done via a GPO but this is not needed in this instance. I’m not a script writer so not sure how to amend this. I assume some sort of wild card or loop statement is needed . If NTFS permissions are set correctly by OU group I cant see how you can access files you don't have permission to, as you've stated you'll get a prompt to login as a user. If you don't have an account in AD how do you do that?

Not if your using NTFS permissions you cant. If you cant authenticate with AD you wont have access to your files

Laptop BIOS passwords can be difficult to clear as you cant get to the jumper on the motherboard to reset it. Depending on make and model it may require a trip back to the manufacture. Try googling your make and model

Ah.. that's a familiar tale I went through this years ago and the first thing I did was dump roaming or mandatory profiles for students and set-up desktop and start menu redirection. Our students login to email via a browser so no need for saving Outlook settings to roaming profiles as we do for staff. There are no other settings they need in our environment - access to their home folder, programs on the computer that's it. The only way to get wireless to load in a reasonable time is to dump roaming profiles, remember with wireless logon you've usually got anti virus trying to update as well as windows updates pulling down from your WSUS server if you have one. Works a treat the local hard drives fill up with profiles but drives are so large now that it's not been an issue for us. But we don't do wireless any more as wireless speeds just arnt fast enough to cope with large numbers of laptops trying to logon at the same time unless you split them to multiple base stations we just don't do wireless because of this. Until true gigabyte speeds can be achieved wirelessly I just wont run wireless networks Kili

Life will be a lot easier if you have a defined goal , once you know which direction to take you can then apply your self to the industry courses for instance taking a route towards a system admin might start out with A+, Network+ then move on to desktop operating systems then server exams from Microsoft. What do you want to do?
