Me too!! Just had a quote of about £4k to renew support for three years and a quote of about £15k to replace AP and move to ruckus cloud. I have never called support, so we are playing to wing it and worse case replace with Unifi AP's if it all goes wrong.

I think we had to run a cleaning kit through it a couple of times - but other than that it has been fine.

We have a IDP SMART 50S. Pretty much 4 years old to the day. Maybe 1800 cards over that time.

Hi, just to update this has finally been resolved - a tweak to the Netsweeper config sorted the problem. Thanks

I can get a cumulative bandwidth greater than 50Mbit/s. They insist there is no bandwidth cap on a single connection (one of the reasons to get others to test to see if they get similar results).

Its definitely something to do with their setup. Plugged directly into the router we get the same results.

Is anyone using Schoolsbroadband and Netsweeper with a connection >100Mbps able to test a file download please? -- Short Story.... After 6 months of Openreach playing around, finally get 200 / 1000 FTTP sorted in July. Since then I noticed that a single file download over port 80 will max download at about 50Mbps (6.2 MB/s). (Speedtests etc.. come back with expected results) After sending them many tests results over the past 8 weeks (and frankly getting the feeling they didn't believe me), they finally arranged some iperf testing to their servers and confirmed the results for themselves. I am waiting for a "fix" - but I am not convinced they know what is causing it. -- Anyway, the two files are below - the port 80 file will never exceed 50Mbps (6.2 MB/s) for me, but the port 8080 with max 200Mbps (22.6 MB/s). Thank you. (https://www.thinkbroadband.com/download) http://ipv4.download.thinkbroadband.com/1GB.zip http://ipv4.download.thinkbroadband.com:8080/1GB.zip

If it's not too complicated, I tend to use excel to do this. Something like below and just paste into a command prompt. rename.xlsx

We have had problems with freezing - stuck on preparing updates. Seems to be a Sophos and kb4493472 problem https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/2203711-update-kb4493472-issues Update - Sophos say they have had a number of calls about this issue...

I can't really vouch for the printer as I only bought it at the start of the month - but the hl-l8260cdw has a rebate with it (until the end of this month...) so works out at 53ish. https://www.printerland.co.uk/product/brother-hl-l8260cdw/139150 -
A bit more expensive - but I have found this very useful over the years: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Inateck-Docking-Station-Function-Tool-free/dp/B00LN0GX4I

School Bus Tracking solution - Any experience?
andy_b replied to dpskinner's topic in Educational Software
We used this before: https://www.rewiresecurity.co.uk/db3-odb-gps-tracking-device-glonass Seemed to work ok, there is a monthly fee for the data sim (4.99) -
One other thing to note is that: "The new mail system is DKIM aware, if an email is received which is signed with a DKIM signature and it fails validation the email is then rejected." This has caused a few bounced emails from charities that we work with due to their lack of correct DKIM setup.

I haven't done it for a while - but I have used these two methods in the past: https://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/adding-external-file-existing-msi https://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/add-file-msi-using-orca
