Which of the three Galilean Moons can you see in the bottom video?

Just using the DFS replication wizard to do it. It's already about 50% of the way there, by tomorrow morning it'll be done and I can test write back. My big problem is what to do? I assume if I used a shared DFS name the directory will know which local file server to use based on your IP address as that's how the domain controllers work. I've got the sites and IP transport links all setup. My major problem will be changing peoples home directories will probably break their offline sync on their laptops. So for the time being accounts that are only being used at the new site I might change their H: drive and GPO drive maps to just \\NEWSERVER\Share$. Wait until it's bedded in and get everyone's staff laptops back during the summer, and wipe all the workstation profiles to use a named space. I need to have the laptops back anyway to move Sophos SafeGuard from a locally hosted solution to the LEAs centrally managed one. I CBA to support it any more, it's a pile of pap!

Seems to be going very well the smaller shares of up to 45GB each have replicated fine, and the large two are well on the way. I've set the staging quote at around 50GB, I read the best practice is just larger than the four largest file sizes combined which would some DVD ISOs in my case. I've checked the file counts and everything has made it so far! I'm lucky that I have a good 100Mbps dedicated internet line between the sites and a couple of days when no one is in to use any bandwidth.

I was going to, but I still need the network in both sites online. It'd be too much of a faff. TBTB have decided a slow network is better than a flakey partial one! It's actually running quite well, I think I've got the staging quotas set about right. Finally got time to set Sites and Services up properly for proper failover and logons on a local DC instead of everything relying on an internet connection! I found a nice tool to monitor it too:

Hello All, When using DFS to run the initial replication of data between servers is the only option to let Windows take care of this? Could I not use ROBOCOPY to take the data up on portable storage with all NTFS permissions and SIDs intact? Basically the data size is around 500GB and we have a 100Mbps (up and down) fibre link between sites, but even at that speed it'll take days.

Are they still doing this? It's been around for years, they had to stop for a long time when they found someone hadn't so much reverse engineered Microsoft, as copied parts of the code base verbatim from a source leak.

Well we've got her home, the poor half furless old girl! Basically monitoring, renal diet and see how she goes. Prognosis is good in the medium term, but she has three kidney stones, one in her urethra which could cause her remaining good kidney to shut down at any time. They can stent it or remove it, but it's all specialised work and the insurance won't cover that, it's only £3000 per condition per year and given her myriad other health issues I'm not paying for it. Basically she's had her shot and it's up to her now.

Phew. Stage 3 not 4, 24 hours more hydration and it can be managed in the medium term. Months rather than years, but our other cat had weeks not months and she lived for almost two years.

I've been asked to find some software that we can message all logged on users at set times, set messages (such as end of lesson) Has anyone come across this before?

Not the best news she's at the hospital having fluids, bloods and scans but it's looking like her kidneys are on the verge of packing up. We probably will have to end it tomorrow.

Well we've had a bowel movement. Bloody diarrhoea, but she is moving. Much brighter today. Looks like she won't be killed today, some antibiotics, painkillers and blood tests though. Thank Deus for the insurance, just an £80 excess per policy year!

Well she spent last night eating everything in sight, running around, chasing socks and being full on in your face annoying. Damn cat I have no idea what's going to happen now! 24 hours ago she looked so bad we assumed euthanasia was the most probable outcome, now we don't have a clue!

Well she's still with us. Slightly worse than yesterday as she's moving slower and although still seeking me out she's being a bit more standoffish. The crying when she see's me is heart breaking. I get the feeling she is asking for it to end. Got the vets tomorrow night, and me and the missus are pretty much accepting this is her last night. Damn unfair really. Our first cat we had for 8 months and was 14 months old, found dead at the top of the drive. On a Thursday evening, 8:20pm we were watching Jamie at Home on tomatoes and a lovely couple knocked the door to tell us. We got this current cat with her sister from a rescue. Her sister had a thrombosis in December 2013, where the blot cot got stuck on her left front paw. The furthest away in the circulatory system from her heart. 9/10 a thrombosis either kills the cat from a heart attack, or it gets trapped where the main artery splits into two at the hips. This paralyses the cat, and is extremely painful. We got lucky with her, she was fine until late August 2015 when I got home from a GPs appointment and found her dead. She was just 8 years old! We had a lovely card from the vet who owns the practice. Both himself and his heart specialist were amazed how long we kept her going for! The remaining cat has been declining steadily since then. She gets stress induced cystitis very often, pills and Feliway barely work. We've had some much work done to the house recently that I think the stress of it has pushed her over the edge. She also has a heart deformity and would expect a thrombosis at some point. I know getting cats from a local rescue is supposed to be the best way. However all three of ours came from a local rescue and they've all died from bad genes and inherited conditions far too young. The current cats were house cats as well, they never went out. There is no way a damn house cat should die at age eight! It is totally unfair!

We've never had to make a call on when to euthanise a cat. Back in 2008 our first was found dead on the drive, and another passed away in August 2015 during the night due to hear failure (she'd lived for 18 months after having a blood clot almost take her front paws off). The remaining sibling is declining rapidly. She also has heart problems, but she's also in the endgame of renal failure. She's gone down hill very swiftly in the past four days. We've been having a lot of work done to the house, so we'd hoped she'd get better when this had finished, but she hasn't. At the moment she's not eating, drinking a lot, peeing a lot (more than usual with her bad kidneys), can't poop and is starting to become a bit incontinent. However she is also very bright, still runs up stairs and jumps off desks, follows us around and seeks us out (so not hiding away). I don't want to come home and find a fading animal that has been in pain for hours. A stroke is highly likely as the toxins her kidneys are not removing build up. Got a vet's appointment tomorrow, and I get the feeling we'll take her in, but not take her out. If she'd declined to the point where she'd stopped moving, or interacting I'd have her euthanised in a heartbeat. Where she is now is a bit different. She's very ill, but still seeking company and play. Anyone else had to sort through all of this?

Help! I'm moving my printers to a new print server (and different hostname) In GPP Printers do I change the old print mappings from Update to Delete (so it erases them) and create the new ones? If so, when I turn off the delete old printers (assuming after a week every machine will have got rid of them) and when do I change the create to update? Ta, M

I got one A3000 from my Sixth Form. I was in Ye 13 when they ditched for PCs. I saw go into the bin RISC PCs, A5000s, A3020s the lot. The gits would only give me a crappy ARM2 A3000. I saw an A5000 with a FP co-processor and a multimedia expansion unit go into the bin. It had two SCSI cards, an MPG2 decoder card, a 17" SVGA monitor, and a very early DVD ROM. If I were to have that machine working now, I know some collectors in the Acorn market who would part with thousands for it. Some would part with 10s of thousands for it. Even after ARM released the StrongARM 233 Mhz card for the RISC PC, this A5000 variant was the most powerful ARM era Acorn machine ever made. It was a crying damn shame. I lost the A3000 given to me. I destroyed my own A3010 by whacking the ARM250 chip package to get a PC. I turned down my mates A3010. Which in retrospect I found out was an early variant, a rare variant. Instead of having an ARM250 SoC, they didn't have enough. So they attached an ARM2 with a daughter board with the MEMC, VIDC and sound controller. This meant you could take it out and put an ARM3 in. As the ARM250 was a SoC, you couldn't do that with the production models. I've seen one of these go for £700 on eBay recently. I let my RISC PC battery destroy the MOBO. It is a good example of a late Acorn RISC PC. StrongARM, i586 co-processor, 2MB VRM, 128MB RAM, SCSI card, ethernet, RISC OS 4.02 in ROM, 4.39 softloaded with 3.70 chips to swap in with an ARM710 card for a proper "old school" experience. I picked up an A7000 for £20 on eBay during 2004. Somehow I shorted the PSU out, so my wife binned it. On comp.sys.acorn.hardware a guy 20 miles away offered me an A3020 for £30 last year. I didn't bother with it, and I am so angry about that! The A3020 was the educational version of my home A3010. I had the TV out and joystick ports, but the A3020 had a built in 2.5" IDE interface. On my A3010 you had to use the single internal expansion bus for a HDD. That meant no co-processor etc.

I keep asking, in hopes one day I will succeed! Does anyone have any old Acorn hardware sitting around in store rooms, cupboards or attached to some ancient cutting tool that isn't needed any more? There used to be dozens on eBay, now they go for stupid money. I'm afraid a battery leaked into the MOBO of my teenage dream RISC PC build and she is dead. Anyone, at all! Sadly it's all through the LEA. A 100Mbps fibre at the primary and secondary with a 10Mbps at the Post 16. The whole enterprise has been pushed back two weeks, so for the time being the secondary site will have to access everything from the primaries servers. Kids start at the same date, regardless of the timetable changing!
