I thought all the images of Earth from LEO, and even the famous Earthrise from Apollo 8 were mind blowing. When you see a planet through a telescope you don't expect to see oceans and clouds.

Damn shame, but I fell out of love with the actor and therefore the character after reading one of Alan Alda's autobiographies. Christopher was so against M*A*S*H effectively cancelling itself (cast majority vote) that started to get quite abusive, as did Harry Morgan (and he did far worse in his life such as spousal physical abuse at age 81!) so they had AfterM*A*S*H created as a vehicle for them to star in. If you look really hard you can find AfterM*A*S*H on YouTube in terrible quality, it really stank as a show. If you are looking for a M*A*S*H spin off take a look at Trapper John M.D. (where my handle comes from "Trapper" John McIntyre) set just after 'Nam. It is far superior. I used to watch M*A*S*H all the time. Like Frasier during a hard time between late 2004 and 2010 it was my comfort show. I even have the whole set on Region 1 DVDs as the release schedule in the EU was about 18 months behind North America. A season came out every six months, and it was the last DVD/BluRay TV show I collected "live" upon release data from 2002 until the end. I need to replace season one as that's in the Europe style box. The same day season ten was released on DVD in North America they also released the whole damn lot in a brilliant box set with lots of extras, the film and was considerably cheaper! The sun has really faded the colours on the DVD cases! Most are about 15 years old though.

Hello, I'm looking for a replacement output tray for a HP Officejet 4620. It prints and copies fine, but without the output tray the paper falls onto the floor. Not the greatest way to do it. Checked eBay and the usual sources, but I can only find one spare in the US with prohibitive shipping costs. Where do you get yours from?

Back on................. it won't last. Still it has found a hole in my resilience plans - I forgot to have a secondary DHCP server ready to be switched on at one of my sites. It's OK if the drive maps change to the local fileserver based on your IP address, but pointless if you can't get an IP address!

How far afield has this downtime reached? My schools are in Moseley and its a real pain. I rely on the Internet as we have thew sites separated by almost a mile. Even with file servers and replication it is real pain! Cmis server and eportal only at one site, and the file server they UAE with VPN hasn't replicated their weekend work to the others. It seems Virgin had a powercut around 1600 yesterday which took a switch out. Nowt like high availability redundancy!!

Sadly it was implied consent. If you don't want your child on the DVD then tell us. The DVDs are only distributed to parents and that is was the implied consent agrees to, but with 100 copies flying around you know some will end up with relatives, or being copied, or ripped or just dumped in the bin!

Hello, We're embarking on our annual film the students singing Christmas songs, then make the poor sods in IT copy 100 DVDs, print 100 DVDs, make 100 DVD cases etc. I've had a really competitive quote for a company, who we have a relationship with anyway for the website, to duplicate, print and generally take this off my hands. We don't have our own duplicator so it is my laptop and my technicians banging out one copy each per 15 minutes. Then we have to test them so it eats up about 10 working hours each to get it done. We don't risk using burners in the IT suites as we end up with too many coasters as the drives are never used. My DSLs are concerned about getting an outside company in to duplicate then. Regardless that they have complete control of our website and all the content on there! The students are primary age for this DVD, we have consent from parents to send DVDs out to all families and we're a special. I can't see any issue in this, but my DSLs won't sign off on it unless they have ironclad in writing evidence that they won't get in trouble for it. I won't do it without their agreement as any knee jerk reaction to this would end up aimed at me! Normally I'd just drop this idea, but we have enough work on without wasting a couple of days just burning DVDs. And yes they have to be physical DVDs since the school has done this back into the Middle Ages. I pity my predecessor who had to copy 100 VHS tapes!

Hello - bit of a short notice ask (very short notice!) We've been asking companies to price for a new website. Totally bespoke theme and development along with actual face time with the designers instead of just emails and phone calls. We've also asked for it under 5 weeks, and sadly someone mentioned "OfSTED"! The quote we had back was £10k - or about £8k with the VAT off. Does that sound unreasonable? The last couple we had cost about £4k - but it was a template, minimal development work and purely email/phone meetings! Any advice gratefully received!

I paste the relevant ones from VLSC into an Outlook note. I've got notes with keys going back to the turn of the century! As I can always login to my webmail I can just open the note and copy the key out. If we know we are doing a big deployment job we stick the relevant key into a text document alongside the installer on either the NAS or the USB device being used. After deployment we just erase them.

Ugly desk, but the keyboard and mouse are brand new today. I cannot describe the feeling of a brand new, still textured Intellimouse that doesn't have the slickness where a decade of use has rubbed the plastic smooth. The responsiveness of the keys so much travel and bounce. Virgin hardware. I managed to pick up a fair number of the Microsoft Internet Keyboards - two brand new boxed on eBay, two second hand from Amazon - one of which is a Stone Computers custom paint job the other looks brand new, but doesn't feel as nice! I've also got my original MS Internet Keyboard Pro (!) which I cannot find anywhere. Not even from Trumpland on FleaBay. PS/2 and USB connectivity with two USB 1.1 ports on the keyboard and more custom action keys. Sadly the USB ports are crap these days as they can't power a USB stick born after 2006! I almost wrecked it five years ago, beer was spilt (or as my good friend would call it a beer tsunami) and I tried to clean it up and I made a total mess sadly. I've tried to pick up an MS Comfort Keyboard from circa 2004, but they go for a fortune on eBay. I've managed to salvage six of the original MS optical Intellimice, all but one have the extra buttons. That one that doesn't is a real pain to use. Two of the others are slowly dying from overuse. One is my original from back in the late 1990s! Does anyone else have to use weird hardware due to some form of obsessive compulsion or total middle aged old gittiness of not wanting to change?!

Purely out of academic interest - why does an 8 year old version of Visual Studio still be pushed for £3k?! Is it for the upgrade path to the latest version, which could be far cheaper? Is the MSDN subscription bundled still valid after all this time?! I've seen auctions for weird stuff like Server 2003 SBS go for hundreds and BackOffice 4.5 for £40! It seems quite mad! I am screaming internally at all the good CRTs I've binned and all my current and previous schools - and 2x 19" LG CRTs I had back until 2008 which weight a ton but looked great - but I need one! I'm having problems with some retro hardware including my Acorn A3010 - LCDs just do not handle the old 16/256 colour modes (12/15 for RISC OS nerds) which most games run. My battery had to be removed before it leaked, and I haven't soldered a new one on so I can't configure RISC OS to change to MODE 12 on reboot as the setting goes after a hard break. The VGA modes look great, but most games do not use them! I've tried the LCD Games module that some retro-guys at StarDot have made, but a lot of games just won't work with it. A lot of the mid-90s Fourth Dimension games such as Birds of War, Stunt Racer 2000 and original versions of Star Fighter 3000 crash out. It also doesn't help that I'm using a printer port Zip drive as a make do and mend hard drive - and the driver/filing system is really poorly coded! It's quite a statement on the flexibility of Acorn that a single 100MB Zip disc can work well as a hard drive! Anyway I'm based in Quinton/Harborne at home, and I work at a school in Moseley. If anyone near by has some spare CRTs, would they mind sharing the love?! eBay will get me what I want in time - but it can't be shipped so it's pot luck when someone will post one locally, in good nick and at a sane (ie not lolBay) price. Freecycle has got me close, but they are increasingly rare. I keep hitting the charity shops too! If not I'm stuck with basic composite video out via the RF tuner which was flakey back in 1995 via a HDMI converter to an LCD which still looks awful!

SG:U has to be binge watched otherwise it is too slow. Unlike how Joe Strazynski could make a five year long story not feel slow (well ignore season five and Crusade) the Stargate creative team didn't hit it right in year one. It got better in the second season, but by then they'd lost the audience. Watching it now it works, at the time it didn't. Far too much crap floating around from them cancelling Atlantis (who cancel's their own show when the network want to keep it running?!) and too close to BSG both in narrative and production year. SG-1 should have ended at the end of season six as they thought it would with Full Circle (Abydos gets blown up) as it got worse with Richard Dean Anderson only in a handful of shows and Shanks getting some bad stories as punishment for sodding off for a year. The Ori arc was a good idea and it was interested to watch Claudia Black and Ben Browder act in a different dynamic, but it should have been spun off.

If not then just don't read.... Anyway it's been, what, six years since Universe premiered and five years since it was cancelled. I never gave it a shot. I was far too p!ssed at the creative team for choosing to cancel Atlantis' sixth season to do this - I mean who cancels a TV show willingly! SciFi were happy to keep paying for it! Because of this I never gave Universe a chance, at all. I mean I admit after re-watching they really should have stopped using the soft rock music at the end of each episode far sooner, and we could have done with far less of the teenage angst thing. But it got better, and Robert Carlyle was magnificent. From mid-season 1 to the end it was fantastic, and the ending they chose was inspired. So I am sorry. I should have given it a chance, and should not have hooted in celebration when it was cancelled. Given that now I really wanted to see the third season. I know this is not uncommon amongst fans these days, so anyone else who skipped this - watch it. It really is good, and then beat yourself soundly about the head for allowing it to be cancelled.

Title says it all really. Thanks to some budgeting I've managed to get larger 10k SAS drives for a remote site that doesn't require them, but we really need to increase an array size at our main site. If I swap each 600GB 10k SAS out for a 1.2TB 10k SAS wait for the array to rebuild after each swap, at the end will I be able to increase the logical drive size?
