Just recently started catching back up with S9 of The Walking Dead. Stopped at Ep 7 I think it was and then have just been putting it off in lieu of other shows. But finally getting back into it now and it has re-captured my attention. Up to Ep 14 now. Still waiting for Rick to make an appearance again though but otherwise I am enjoying it again. Not quite up to the fever pitch that the first few series had me in, but still pretty good.

I watched the commentary afterwards and they were saying how Dany was driven mad by the closest people around her either dying or betraying her and that if her child not been murdered, her friend had not been killed, had John not betrayed her by telling his sister (or been able to get over the fact that they were related and just made out with her a bit), had all these things not happened then she would have been more amicable to the idea of mercy. But it was the combination of these factors that in fact drove her to rage out as she did. But yes, I echo the sentiment here that it does feel a bit rushed, the fact that Dragonfire seems to be able to cut through stone like butter now, that hawkeye must have been manning that first crossbow yet now they can only afford stormtroopers to man them, that the Sersi death was a little wet etc... etc.. Although I must admit I did find the Hound/Mountain fight/death scene quite satisfactory if nothing else. And yes, I will still continue to watch.. I have invested too much time into this thing not to see it through. Oh btw, anyone else see a spinoff tv series coming? Prequel? Or perhaps a the aftermath as seen from the view of Dorne?

I must admit that this annoyed me at the time more than anything else. Ghost has been there since he was a bloody child and he sends him away possibly forever with a nod!!! Sam comes along and he gets a great big hug. Jon doesn't deserve Ghost! And yes, I have heard the explanation that it was because of CGI that he didn't hug him, but they could have used a puppet or something. As for the plot holes, yes, I suppose now is the time that we have to just go with it. With only 2 episodes to go it is better to savour them than pick/spot holes.

Watched "What we do in the shadows" this weekend. Very quirky, a bit strange but also funny I thought. I liked it overall. Have also seen that there is now a tv show spinoff (not with the NZ cast but in America this time).

Well I guess this is off the cards now, unless somehow Jon can find his own dragon. One thing that annoyed me about that though, why could she just fly behind them and then burn the ships, or, if they can rotate the crossbow things all the way back (but then they would have essentially been firing at their sails and masts) then attack directly from above. Funny with the coffee cup placement. Makes you wonder if it was left by mistake, or if they saw it and thought "nah just leave it, the internet will have a field day with it". But I guess it answer the question. Dani prefers her caffeine over ale.

Wow.. just wow. Watched it last night with the missus and all I can say is that episode was Epic! I must say though although I am a major Arya fan I think she has done so much now I'm half expecting her to get killed in the coming final episodes. Really hope I am wrong on that one. But you know how it is when you really start rooting for one character above all others.
