Nope. She wants her mail box as it is, she wants to keep receiving emails sent to her BUT she wants all emails to be sent as someone else I'm probably confusing things by using the names Carol & Brian as examples - in reality their email addresses reference their job title

I know that's the 'easy' solution... unfortunately it's not what Carol wants! She wants all the emails she sends to be sent as Brian & she wants that to be automatic.... I don't think it's possible without changing her logon credentials

I have two users : Brian & Carol (made up names, you get the idea) Brian has left the company; all his emails are being forwarded to Carol. All his old emails have been exported to a PST file Carol needs her account changing so that when she sends an email it is Sent As Brian she doesn't need access to Brian's old emails & she doesn't want to change her logon credentials (she also need to keep receiving emails sent to her original email address) I'm sure there is an easy way to do this... But I can't think of it The closest I can get is: Delete all of Brian's emails (I have them backed up as PST) merge Brian and Carol's mail boxes Set all of Carol's emails to forward to Brian's mailbox Reset Brian's credentials Get Carol to start logging in as Brian This seems a bit 'round the houses'...

Thanks for that. We get Symantec Endpoint Protection bundled with our broadband connection (from the LEA) so am not sure if the Microsoft AV program will be of much use. Whenever I read about SCCM, people talk about it being a beast and that some sort of training is advised. What's so beastly about it?! Again, I know it sounds a noddy question but I may get a chance to pitch for it (and some training) and I need to be able to explain myself super clearly to the powers that be Also, why I'm here, what SCCM book/s would people recommend to get someone up and running?

Hi, This might seem like a really noddy post but .... in a nutshell... What can I do with SCCM? We run Ghost on an old Server 2003 box that needs to be replaced - I think SCCM could be the solution? I want to centrally manage apps such as flash so that all machines have the latest version - I think SCCM could be the solution? I know it can handle windows updates / WSUS tasks But what else??

Over the next few weeks I'm going to be setting up a test server and a few old PC's acting as thin clients, running Windows Thin PC and booting into an RDS session. If the results are good we will try and implement it properly. I've a few questions that hopefully some of you may have an opinion on: * the intended use is : web surfing, Office, SIMs (for teachers) and not much else, we are trying to do this on the cheap to avoid Citrix etc. Pitfalls? Will we be able to load balance ect without spending extra £££ * Servers : real/virtual (we run VMware) or a combo of both? I know this is a bit of an old chestnut and the general consensus is it doesn't matter so long as they are BEEFY... but if you've got a strong opinion, I'm all ears. * Eventually we will replace the old PCs with actual thin client machines... any recommendations? esp for Thin PC (or are they much of a much-ness?)

Ah, got it off now (hopefully). I had to reinstall from the MSI, kill securusn in msconfig and the registry and then run MsiExec.exe /X{uninstall key} Not sure if it's completely gone but it'll do for now until I've got chance to build completely fresh images in the summer Cheers everyone

Maybe this is a version difference but there is no key in : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ The Securus key I can find is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ Subtle difference I know...

I'm still having trouble with this. It's the v6 client. It was initially rolled out via GPO and then built into machine images (from an msi) I've tried removing via GPO (with the 'uninstall key' in the registry) but I get a 'this action is only valid for products that are currently installed' message.

OK, after a bit more testing I can *sort of* see what's happening. If I view the website from home (in IE11), it's fine. If at school, I point IE11 to the IP address of our webserver, it's fine. So... at a guess it's a compatibility issue... unfortunately because IE11 broke OWA I've set up a group policy to always add the root of our domain name to compatibility view & this is probably complicating things!

Oh, and I'm running the latest version of Joomla on Ubuntu 12.5 My test sites were running on Win7 / Xampp

Hi, I've given our school's website a bit of a face lift. I took an Akeeba back up & created a test site. I made a new template by modifying one of the default templates. Tested it in FireFox, Chrome & IE 11 (that's what we have at school) - no problems. I then Zipped up the new template & imported it (and the relevant new images) into my live site. It displays great in FireFox & Chrome but in IE11... it's almost like it can't see parts of the CSS sheet. The nav bar & pages display weirdly. What's even odder is; I took another backup of the live site and created another test site, & it's fine in IE11! ... any ideas?

All sorted! I never needed to look at DNS, the settings were all in Exchange /IIS. Thanks everyone who chipped in with useful ideas

It never occurred to me to look at IIS, straight away I can see a HTTP redirect that points at the old domain name - Thanks!

Well... I'm hating to come back to this... but here I am.... I assign services to the SSL cert I make changes in : (Server -> Client access) Outlook Anywhere , OWA SETTINGS , Outlook Web App, Exchange Control Panel, Exchange Activ Sync, Offline Address Book - pointing them all to the new mail.myNewDomain address In DNS , Forward Zones, mydomain.internal/_tcp there is an _autodiscover record, pointing to mail.myOldDomain , I change this to point to the new one. There is zone in forward zones called mail.myOlDomain, I create a new one to point at the mail.myNewDomain I can't see any A or C records point at mail.myOldDomain... only A records pointing at Exchange itself I can see the DNS changes have propagated over to my second DNS server When I enter https://mail.myNewDomain, the URL changes to https://mail.myOldDomain & throws an SSL cert warning... Either there is still a setting in Exchange I need to change? Or there is something in DNS that I need to change?

I've had a look in DNS, the zone for the old mail address is still there (mail.olddomain.county.com) - opening it up I can see an SRV record (ldap , _tcp) that ties the port 443 to mail.olddomain.county.com I've created the same record in my mail.newdomain.county.com zone to point port 443 to the new address but I still have the same issue.. on the internal network if I go to the new https://mail address it throws the above cert error. If I click 'continue' it takes me to the mail logon page but changes the root of the URL back to the old domain name...

The Cert error is 'The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address' Also, if I type https://mail.newdomain.county.com , I get the cert error above. If I click on 'Continue to this website (not recommended)' it takes me to the logon page but changes the root of the URL to https://mail.olddomain.county.com ...

Well, in DNS I have set up a forward lookup zone for mail.newdomain.county.com, in this zone I've created an 'A' record that points at Exchange In Exchange I've assigned IMAP, POP, IIS, SMTP services to the new SSL cert. If I login to OWA on my phone it works fine If I login to OWA while on the local network I get a cert error Do I need an internal self signed cert... or....? Nearly there!
