Ive just asked the timetabler to tell me every time she makes a change so i can run the report in sims and import the csv. Its only normally once or twice a year so its not that bad. Ive got it set so staff can only book 7 weeks in advance so any changes that are made to the timetable wont affect to many bookings. The update i did in january affected 3 recurring bookings but these were room changes that the timetable update changed so wasnt an issue.

I have room booking software that i export the timetable from sims into it and then all staff can book any room in it from there. Had it for a number of years and works well, until the timetabler changes the timetable and doesn't tell me! We have it set up for all our meeting rooms as well so people can book them out to save double bookings because people assume its not being used! 100 users and 100 rooms/resources is £250 a year Pricing & Sign-up | SchoolBooking

Keys, work phone, mobile phone and thats it. If i need to fix a machine whilst im about ill either run back to the office to grab a screwdriver or ill take the machine back with me, running joke in the office is that taking the machine for a 'walk' from the classroom to the office fixes it! Happens about 2/3 of the time!

2 bed bungalow, £110 a month for both with Scottish power. My sister loves to leave all the lights on in the house and use the tumble drier (until i removed the fuse from the plug so it 'broke'). She should be moving out in the next 2 months then im on my own and can hopefully reduce this. I was with edf and they put my DD up to £165 but i switched and saved £50 a month! Plus i used topcashback and earnt £40

When we do the individual reports and save the changes in office 2010 it does the same stuff. If i go to one old machine in the school with office 2003 on and open the word template, not make any changes but save it then save the individual report, it fixes it!! Really wierd and annoying, looking to change to office 2013 soon so hopefully that will solve it.

Actually scrap that found the report your after. Reports - > Lesson Monitor - > Selected Students Reports - > Compare Marks by Column Change Group type at top to year group, change the compare to p4 and p5 then run it on the year group and you get the list your after.
-
Ive just managed to get a report to show me all lesson marks for a year group. You get a long list of every student in that year with all 5 (5 period day here) lesson marks on different lines in order for the day. Does list it as period 1, period 2 etc. You could then just scan down and look to see if anything differs, obviously if your school is huge you may not want to do this but we only have 100 per year group here.

adding the googlevideo.com url a few weeks ago fixed the same issue for me.

Ive been here for over 8 years and both our caretakers have been here under a year and as such i know far more about the site than they do. I must help them out at least 3 times a week with something regarding the site. I spent yesterday helping fix the boilers and today i am re-configuring the timers on it as were trying to save money by not using as much gas. Some staff have issues in there room where power trips on an odd occasion and they have started to come find me rather than the caretakers. -
[sims] [SIMS] - scripted whole school graphical view?
DSapseid replied to mjervis's topic in MIS Systems
One of our Deputy Heads who is in charge of assessment stuff has recently bough 4Matrix software 4Matrix and its a good bit of software, shows nice RAG ratings for the students and pie charts/bar graphs. Hooks into sims and extracts the data and photos of students and can do print outs of which students are not achieving xyz and print off there photos if some staff cant put a name to face. SLT love it and its just been rolled out to all HOD's. -
Staff get £8 a week, KS3 get £1 a week and KS4 get £1.50 a week. 5p per a4 B/w, 10p a4 colour, 15p a3. We dont charge students who run out and in fairness hardly any do, i set it up to just to restrict the reams of cr@p they printed off. I print of a termly list off who printed most and put up in staff room with names to name and shame, i do remove the admin staff who have reason to print lots though.

I get about £45k that has to include all licences (including SIMS) but not the internet connection. I have 560 students and 300pc's. Replaced my entire network and 90% of computers in the last 18 months and all the funding for that was extra on top of my budget, servers & san are on a lease though. Old network was 6-8 years old and some of the computers i replaced this summer were 9 years old!!

What to replace two ten year old HP mono printes with?
DSapseid replied to kennysarmy's topic in Hardware
+1 for the HP 2055 i have a dozen of them here and there great. -
How do you make AM do the RAG ratings? Currently all our AM Templates do it in black and white. Do i need to change the template to excel from word and use conditional formatting? Or am i barking up the wrong tree!

DHCP and DNS then AD, i think you have to do it in that order otherwise it moans at you! The wizards for installing these 3 are pretty straight forward and you cant really go wrong with them.
