  1. By The Blockheads? Cheap crimbo for your missus!
  2. Space Invaders lamp! £24.99 @ Firebox: Space Invaders Alien Lamp - buy at Firebox.com With the promise that it "won’t relentlessly shuffle horizontally like a shifty analog crab"
  3. Tablets don't excite you yet you have one of each OS? I really am underpaid.
  4. Oh damn, I completely forgot to add Jedi robe to my list! For other family members, I bought my Mom (who's not an alcoholic, honest): Vodka Zinger: Vodka Zinger - buy at Firebox.com Wyborowa Vodka: realwodka.com My brother is getting: Elder Scrolls Anthology: http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Elder-Scrolls-Anthology-DVD/dp/B00EE01ITE Moga Pro: Amazon.com: POWER A MOGA Pro Mobile Gaming System for Android Smartphones - Retail Packaging - Black: Video Games Daughter I've built her own first gaming PC
  5. I asked for these: George Orwell books - Nineteen Eighty Four, Animal Farm (read both but want my own copies) Microsoft Sidewinder X4 keyboard (gonna have to rethink that one as they seem to be out of production and there are idiots trying to charge £800 for them on Amazon) Perixx MX-2000 mouse Soundmagic E10 earphones Dremel multi tool (to replace the cheap no-brand one I have finally given up with) The Last of Us - PS3 Kurushi Final PS1 Rocksmith 2014 with Real Tone Cable (PC version) Teenage Dirtbags Compilation (CD) Hipe Waterproof Bluetooth Stereo Shower Speaker To be fair though I'm not expecting all of that for xmas, I keep a constant list on Google Drive that I add things I really want to, that way when I have a bit of money I can refer back to it and buy something I really want rather than blowing it on some silly impulse purchase (although it must be said, I still do that far too often!)
  6. Oh cool, I didn't play for long enough to see that!
  7. Ha, pretty good. Should have a higher difficulty level that removes the numeric hints at the bottom of the board though...
  8. Hang on, I'm just compiling a list of reasons you're wrong...
  9. Current bid £205?! It's the buyers I worry about, not the sellers; for £200+ you can be damn sure I'd sell my XB1 box too!
  10. On balance, I figure he doesn't go out all that much so will mostly be using this at home, went for the Moga Pro
  11. The Moga looks like the right idea but has some awful reviews online, the Moga Pro has better reviews but isn't particularly portable... I think this is going to end up being a stab in the dark...
  12. It looks like a good bit of kit but I'm a cheapskate
  13. A gamepad alone is a fraction of that cost and the point is he always has his phone on him... more to the point I don't earn enough to be spending £100 on my brother for xmas! lol
  14. Hi all, I'm looking to buy my brother a gamepad for his HTC one for Christmas, as he loves playing retro games via emulator on it but hates the on screen controls (understandably). Problem is, there are so many! I've already done the obligatory Google search and that has narrowed it down somewhat, but before I make a decision I wondered if any of you actually own gamepads that you would recommend? I want to get him something with a phone holder as the idea of sitting your phone on the table while you play seems a bit pointless - surely the idea is to emulate a handheld console? Anyway, over to you
  15. Red Stag - seriously dangerous stuff, far too tasty for something so strong! Also, Jim Beam Devil's Cut - slightly stronger than normal Jim Beam, actually tastes very similar to JD to me
  16. We've had an issue that seems to have started with the summer update whereby clicking anything in course manager results in an egg timer and 5-10 minute wait. Local support said we need more RAM, which helped a little but not much. The Autumn census was a nightmare!
  17. Only JD variant I've tried was Gentleman Jack, it was slightly smoother than normal JD but not worth the extra cost IMO. I used to love JD but the price has rocketed in recent years, find I drink a lot more Jim Beam these days.
  18. Surely the best place to set it is the local nick?
  19. My missus' parents bought her a Garmin to replace her broken TomTom; god awful piece of [expletive]. Using Google Maps on my SGS3 now while I wait for a new battery to be delivered for the TomTom (and pray that's all the problem is).
  20. Pretty cool, didn't know it could do that. DF sound a bit off-put by it but I suspect in real world terms it'll be perfectly playable. Disappointed to hear the BluRay player functionality is being seen as a downgrade from PS3... will have to look in to it more though as it sounds like that may just be from a control perspective as opposed to AV quality
  21. Does the PS4 do anything with the Vita that the PS3 doesn't? Looking to buy myself a Vita in the new year, wondering whether to try and strike a PS4/Vita package deal with someone...
  22. I thought it was good. Nothing new revealed but interesting nonetheless. Also recorded "Indie Game: The Movie" on after it but haven't watched it yet. I don't see the problem
  23. anyone?
  24. I don't know if it's always been this way, but the latest daily deals are a lie: FFVII was already £6.69, it being in the "daily deal" hasn't touched it's price. For shame Steam, for shame. Seems it was a temporary glitch, price now £3.39 and I'm happy
  25. You didn't really buy it, did you? The worst part is I'd be kind of tempted...
