Has anyone here updated Sims , and the Groupcall and CPOMS after that update is no longer working ? My Groupcall is all fine now , after all the service restarts . I believe it failed after the last sims update that was installed.
-
Btw .. Have you tried restarting the Groupcall services ? My Job errors have dissapeared since restarting all 3

I originally thought it was a problem with me changing ISP. When i queried it with the 1st line lad he said i have been seeing many of the same errors today so i think its more than a problem with just yourselfs. This was 4pm yesterday , will have to give them another call ! is yours the same as mine ? with just the single service not being able to run ?

Any one having problems with xporter on demand ? Ours isnt working , and the EmergeXOD-Data job has failed. I have started a support case , 1st line tech did state a few people are having this problem.. Anything i have missed ?
-
I think the way it is setup , You could use it with anything providing you have the correct details and routing setup. i.e. i used a PC direct to the port without any type of firewall/switch in place.
-
Nope , But managed to speak to a decent tech who gave me the answer . Need to assign a specific outside IP to the Red interface which i wasnt given before . all done now and tested it on a single workstation connected to the router and worked great . Will be implementing it later today .

A New Exa customer here which apparently is all setup ( long story but hasnt been plain sailing ) At the moment we are a linux based firewall and a BTfibre connection ( cisco router ) I have made all the changes to my setup to work with the new connection, but we have no internet at all. Am i right in assuming that the Exa supplied router needs the IP address of our firewall for us to get a connection and all traffic is routed via that ? Already adjusted the firewall interface settings and i get nothing , These ISP supplied routers dont allow me to view the configs .

Before the pandemic we put in 120x HP 260 G2 mini pc's into various classrooms , They all came with 5 years warrenty .... Great Other than the warrenty it seems atleast 90 of the units come with something else , an inherited problem ! The problem is they will suddenly not turn on ( zilch power ) , Only way to get them working again is to remove the cmos battery . I have had HP out on a machine to machine basis to replace motherboards which have worked fine ( some have also been defective again, but still they replaced them also ) I must have had atleast 50 machines motherboards replaced. Now the Stinker, warrenty has just run out on the units and still some of the machines have the problem. What can i do ? Does any one know of a decent email for HP who can look into this ? I never got any where with the HP support call center other than repair a machine when its broken. Also note- Its very random when these machines dont turn on. I can reseat the battery and they could last for months.

Cost wise i think i would be better off doing the following , this isnt my "Forever" home so dont want to spend lots on infrastructure costing. I currently have a 30mbit BT Line and a UNIFI Pro Dream Machine I could potentially buy a V1 Starlink kit , and have dual WAN and route most of my traffic for my devices through the starlink. e.g. My main PC can be on the BT link as thats what i require lower latency on , But my few servers , Ring system , Wifi could be sent via the starlink.

Thanks just checked the address . Like you its 330/50

Gavered as much as i have just undertaken another internet connection on our schools leased line, which utilizes more of the cores on the existing cable. So , Are you saying that its the distance from the cab to the home that should be taken in consideration ? and not Exchange to the home. Im wondering if the cab needs to be "Enabled" for FTTP , by them running more infrastructure to it
-
Hi , Kinda annoying with my current broadband being such a low speed. Was looking at FTTP On-demand via BT , Which they charge you quite a bit for running the fibre to your home. What i am interested in is how this works ? Foreach FTTP customer do they run individual fibre cables back to the exchange ? Only reason i ask is a school 5 roads away has FTTP , Have they literally ran a cable from the exchange direct to this customer ? or is there a way to patch in on this saving costs on the long run ( i assume they use multi core fibre ). Thanks 2097

Just finished doing this ,Jesus the casio documentation looks like it was written for 3.1. Downloaded the package " Complete IT Package.zip" Installed both??? licencing servers on our internal app server Extract the contents of the Colour calculators using /s /x /b"" /v"/qn" Then this extracts the MSIs Then use the following code to install msiexec /i "fx-CG Manager PLUS Subscription for fx-CG20series.msi" /qn ISX_IP=192.168.*.* RENAME "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\CASIO\fx-CG Manager PLUS Subscription for fx-CG20series\fx-CG Manager PLUS Subscription for fx-CG20series.lnk" "fx-CG20 Calculator.lnk" msiexec /i "fx-CG Manager PLUS Subscription for fx-CG50series.msi" /qn ISX_IP=192.168.*.* RENAME "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\CASIO\fx-CG Manager PLUS Subscription for fx-CG50series\fx-CG Manager PLUS Subscription for fx-CG50series.lnk" "fx-CG50 Calculator.lnk" Wasnt perticually hard , Just a bit backwards. Are the network licences a "Per Seat" basis ? if so how can i check and boot people off ?

I have just built my 2021 package Same as my post above. Not much of an improvment... But worth it if you are paying for MS agreement.

We have a batch that does the install via SCCM ( As a package though ) setup.exe /configure Remove.xml setup.exe /configure Config2.xml RD /S /Q "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft Office Tools" exit /B %EXIT_CODE% Our Config is the following Also just to verify you have down this first setup /download configuration.xml That create the office folder required to install Then to install it is setup /config configuration.xml

Good Providers for 1Gb line - Builtin DDOS
2097 replied to 2097's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
So our current BT situation is that the DDOS protection does actually work , our line is only 100mbit so doesnt take a lot for a DDOS to consume us ! I have managed to catch every DDOS attacker so far ! but i have found that as they are normally kids they tend to use the "Free" booters that gives them 5 mins of DDOS attacks . This is quite annoying considering it takes 1 min for the automatic ddos protection to kick in . Unfortunately with us BT is too expensive with a higher speed internet connection and the "Gold" service DDOS protection -
Good Providers for 1Gb line - Builtin DDOS
2097 replied to 2097's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Thanks everyone for the suggestions Does Wave9 and Exa offer Inline DDOS protection ? -
Our current BT line with DDOS protection has unfortunately been outgrown. We are now looking for a 1gbit line , Built in DDOS with 0 sec downtime ( our BT package currently has around 1min before the DDOS traffic is mitigated ) Schoolsbroadband gave us a really good quote and apparently their fortigate firewalls are very good We dont need Filtering as we already have smoothwall in house Any other recommendations ? BT is no longer an option for our main line due to the costing of 1gb+ connection and a DDOS service which is too expensive for a higher package. We are outter London if that helps . We would also require a new leased line ran into the school as we are currently on a 100mbit bearer

I think you have let us know what your school username is lol !

Prevent students from adding teachers to Office 365 groups/Teams?
2097 replied to Sonic3's topic in Cloud Services
I block everyone creating groups . But have a script that allows certain users to create based on an AD group -
Ive been in all day testing scripts - No problem here . Do you have a lockout policy ?
-
Still. Does it hurt to check ? Most probably a left over some where.

When you say you removed her profile from the machine , Did you delete the profile from the registry also ? Check out Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\ Could still be in there

Found this post again , Looks like i missed some code. I Couldnt figure out howto add only new users from AD Groups . A lot easier if its in a OU . Worked this one out after a few days. This will populate a single CSV with only users added to the system on the specified timing ( the past 2 days )of a specific AD group Import-Module ActiveDirectory $Staff = 'D:\CSV\Test\staff.csv' Get-ADGroupMember -Identity "Staff" | Get-ADUser -Properties WhenCreated | Select-Object UserPrincipalName, whenCreated | Export-Csv -Path $Staff –notypeinformation $Data = Import-CSV "D:\CSV\Test\staff.csv" -Header "UserPrincipalName","whenCreated" $CutoffDate = (Get-Date).AddDays(-2) $Data | Where-Object {$_.whenCreated -as [datetime] -gt $CutoffDate} | Export-Csv -Path "D:\CSV\Test\staffDone.csv" -NoTypeInformation Remove-Item "D:\CSV\Test\staff.csv" Rename-Item -Path "D:\CSV\Test\staffDone.csv" -NewName "Staff.csv"
