A splitty would be my preferred camper, however it just isn't practical plus the costs involved are outrageous (My all time dream car is a Beetle though :-) ). She (Winifred or "Winnie" for short) is a really nice looking camper. Was given a hefty restore about 3 years ago (including a bare metal respray) and she is very very straight, we've done well (we think) to get her. First trip will hopefully be this weekend, fingers crossed we can pick her up on Thursday and then we're off to Camperjam at Weston Park in Stafford on Friday.

I've already spoken to them to look at replacing a couple of things :-) I can't wait to get my hands on it :-) The rust isn't too bad at this point, just a bit under the wheel arches but nothing serious. It had a full bare metal respray about 2 years ago at which point pretty much all the rusty panels were pulled out and replaced. We've paid £7500 for it, but we looked at one last week which was a proper mess and that went on ebay for £6100 so we think we've got a good deal :-)

I'm sorry but I just had to tell people! I've just bought my first VW Camper :-) :-) Hopefully picking her up on Thursday meaing I can take her to Camperjam this weekend!!

We get an "allowance" for this. I think it's in the region of £45 per year to cover cost of eye tests and any left over go towards the costs of the glasses themselve, providing your prescription clearly states "To be worn for VDU use" (or words to that effect).

Morning all, This is something that is really irritating me at the moment. We're planning on rebuilding all our machines over the summer and as part of the rebuild we are going to upgrade to Windows7. I've built myself a Windows 7 Pc, done all the tests of GPO's and software etc installed the software which needs to be available on all machines. The PC has been sysprepped and I have captured the image and stored it on the local machine (as I couldn't get it to connect to the WDS Server). The image has been taken from the PC and transferred onto the WDS server. From here I have taken the .wim file and used it to create an answer file to allow unattended installation. So back to my test PC, I've started it up and booted it into the WDS and found the image I want to install and set it running. It gets through the first three stages (Copying Files, Expanding Files, Installing Features) but fails when it gets to "Installing Updates" with the following error message. "Operation failed with 0x80070002. The system cannot find the file specified". Anyone come across this before? Is there a solution? Cheers in advance

@ diello, how come you only give it to IT Staff? We're in the process of discussing giving this functionality to staff, however based on my own experience it tends to be the technology department not the IT department that require this. So in my opinion, it should be given to all staff, whereas I'm being told to provide it to only the IT Staff (by an IT Teacher).

It might be worth adding that they should backup all personal files as well before collection, it shouldn't fall on you to have to backup everyone's itunes for example.

Hi, We used a company called Flexible for all our desking requirements last summer. Good quality desking, well fitted and very sturdy. We had the electrics and data trunking run along the modesty panel on the back of the desk, loads of room and stops prying hands from getting access!!

We've had exactly the same thing, no chance of us resolving any possible problems with it as they didn't give us a test stream. Very poor planning imho.

We are not closing early, lessons are to continue right up until the end of the normal school day at 3.15. Staff have also been told that teaching should continue up until the end of the school day, so no streaming/watching/listening of football is permitted...in line with the council's statement that "learning is more important than football" and all schools are to operate as normal.....despite this, there are 6 secondary schools in the authority closing early, not sure how they're getting away with that.

PEO, which IPhone 3G have you got? I've just stuck my 16gb one on Mazuma and they're giving me £183 for it! Definitely worth looking at :-)

Hi Jed, We use Salamander here and the sync with Sims.net works very well. It's scheduled to run each night and sure enough it does. However, the problem (which is a user issue not the software) is that for staff users they need to have a contract in and a start date (which has already occurred) in order for Salamander to create their user account. Similarly with students, the student much have a start date which has expired in order for their user account to be created. Other than that it's great, you can assign to OU's based on fields in sims.net, email accounts can be created etc etc it's been a godsend here :-) If I can help in any other way, just give me a shout.

We use Viglen for ours, and I'm pretty sure that they were under the £25 per license as well.

We use a piece of software called Salamander, really simple as it creates users from when they are created in Sims.net (or other MIS). does all the things that you have specified.

But whilst I'm away we're having air conditioning fitted in our Office :-)

I've got a mad week ahead of me, Skiing at Chill Factor tomorrow, then off to Nottingham for the Dot 2 Dot festival on Sunday. Drive to Wales on Monday through till Thursday where hopefully it will be gloriously sunny and I can spend time in the pool :-) and then to Scotland for 3 days golfing trip from next Friday. I can't believe I've actually got a whole school holiday off work though :-)

Don't get me started on Robin Hood!! I thought it was a complete waste of my time and money.

Hi all, I'm as confused with KMS as Sidewinder was. I've got a KMS host running Windows Server 2008 Enterprise which has an activated KMS Key which, as I understand it, will automatically license all my Servers (whether they run Server 2003 or 2008, but not 2008 R2) once it gets to 5 requests, and will also license all my client machines (whether they run Vista or Windows 7) once the requests get to 25. Is my understanding correct? I want my KMS Server to also be able to license Office 2010, I've been on the website and downloaded the Office 2010 KMS packs and tried to install them however I'm being told that my operating system isn't valid (Surely Server 2008 is a valid OS?) anyone come across this before? (Apologies for hijacking the thread :-) ) Thanks as always, Iain
