Zimbra Email BGFL?
mtdmitchell replied to mtdmitchell's topic in West Midlands Regional Broadband Consortium (WMnet)
Okay great Link2ICt have transferred all our accounts to the new Zimbra system and sent us a spread sheet containing all the new email address: I know the new format is under Becta Recommendations, but come on with an email address like "[email protected]" what student is going to use it let alone remember it! What are your thoughts on this, we might as well not have an email system for students! -

I have just purchased a Mac mini 1TB server , i dont want the Mac os on this so im trying to install snow lepeord 10.5 from a Original DVD. so i boot holding down the option key this presents me with the drive options to boot from, i select my external HDD as the mac does not have a dvd drive built in. and it just freezes right when i select the dvd drive. I have also tryed to boot from another external hdd which i use to image other macs and it freezes again when i select it, The only option it will boot from is the server HDD. I have also run the install disk from the desktop and it restarts to install but the screen goes blank an nothing happens. stuck help please

Looks like the ghost partition is stopping WIN 7 Working - Hope this is just this model Laptop- Cleared the ghost Partiton and it works again
-
at first the problem was not because of ghost as i didnt get that far before th eproblem occured. Stonecomputers advised me to install the chipset and that seemed to work. Until i tried to capture the ghost image - which i think is creating a Temp partition and stopping it working. im going to try a manual ghostcast
-
thanks for the replies, ive only just got back to looking at this problem. I always remove and Partitions when i reformat a Computer. Ive just tried Vista as well and the same problem occured. So i went back to Windows 7 and it seemed to work for a while unitil i set ghost to capture the image...and on reboot no Os found! looking at the partition it does have two but i think one of these is created when installing Windows 7 or was it when ghost just rebooted?

Ive installed Windows 7 on loads of laptops and Computers, so far and no problems untill i try a Stone MR052 Laptop. Windows 7 Installs fine, and seems to be working until i take out the OS DVD and reboot then it cant find the OS. If i put the OS dvd back in (not booting from it) Windows then loads from the HDD. Strange, this has happen on two different Laptops of the same model. Ive also upgraded the bios.
