What's the connection server? We just install the Teacher MSI to the right machines, Student MSI to the other machines, then set the channel, AD secure mode etc. through group policy (from the ADMX template). Teachers are added into the LanSchool Teachers group and... that's it. Just make sure computers in a room are all on the same VLAN, saves a great deal of hassle with broadcasting and so on.

That's what I'm figuring - the only real writes they get are image + installation, then the odd user profile from there on out. There was some implication early on that the issue was with old data, but I was never 100% clear on whether that meant old as in temporal age, or old as in how many writes there have been since.

So we've got 160 of 120GB 840 EVOs on site... is there a way of pushing this out centrally (install with SCCM is fine, it's a startup script command I'd need), and if not, is it really going to be worth running? Can't find any actual dimensions for screens alone on the N4 (let alone the N6), but doing a simple square of the diagonal (pretending the screens are square) the Nexus 6 is (5.9^2)/(4.7^2) = 157% of the area. The res bump will take more battery as well (is it the G3 with the 1440p screen? That battery suffered as a result), and the problem with battery tech is that it never really changes. Stupid laws of physics and chemistry getting in the way!

Negated by the larger screen draining more power. It'll probably have a needlessly high res as well; no point in going higher than 1080p as best I can tell, but big numbers make marketing happy. Anyone else here wish they'd start prioritising battery life over thinness as well? I don't care if it's 0.9mm thinner than the last gen, it lasts four hours less and the only way I can get it to the end of the day is to never use it. Make it double chunky and last two days, goddammit! (Also a slide out landscape QWERTY keyboard, but I will concede that I am in the minority on that.)

Looks like I'm only pushing it to %windir%\syswow64\macromed\flash\mms.cfg so only x64 - I'm guessing x86 is to System32 instead of syswow64?

I switched to the LTS version of Flash recently after 14 broke a lot of Boardworks PowerPoints... turns out that most of the internet still lives in 1998 and does Flash Player checks, and everything complains that we're not on the most up to date version of Flash, despite being fully up to date on the LTS version. Including Flash! It keeps harassing me to update! Gotten so annoyed in the space of a month I'm just going to test 15 and make sure it doesn't break things and push that out. Stupid, stupid internet. Anyone know what URL I need to block to stop Flash checking in and whinging? The mms.cfg "AutoUpdateDisable=1, SilentAutoUpdateEnable=0" doesn't seem to be making a difference anymore.

5.9" as a 6'4" man with pianist's fingers, even I find it awkward on my 4.7" Nexus 4 sometimes, if a button is top left (Steam menu, I'm looking at you). 5.9" is far too big for anyone. But I love the Nexus phones so much, nothing else comes close at the price

You've not listed any SSDs in that spec, only HDDs? I'd say an SSD - Crucial MX100 at 256GB/512GB - is the what you need to do if you haven't already done it. If you've got an SSD already, well, what problems are you hitting? If you're not RAM limited then adding more RAM is pointless. If you want to up your FPS, then upgrade the 6800, there are newer cards that'll double that performance and be a worthwhile upgrade (get an nVidia 970). I've got a Phenom II X4 965 still, with only 4GB RAM, paired with a GeForce 680 it flies through any game I care to load up. It's still a decent enough CPU.

Do you mean you just want a dual monitor set up, with projectors? Or you want to overlay the images and merge them into one? The latter sounds bonkers, but I'm not certain what you're after. If it's the former: the same way you'd set up two monitors. May need a cheap GPU (AMD 5450, nVidia 210) to get you the appropriate outputs, and may need at least one projector with a digital input (DVI, HDMI); alternatively make sure the GPU you get has a DVI-I port, not just DVI-D, and you can get a DVI-VGA cable/dongle. Then it's just a case of being really, really careful with your physical alignment.
