Is it in a folder you can delete? I'm sure i've found ways to force delete them in the past

The IE thing doesn’t seem to be a problem anymore on our site. It's just blocking sites that we are having problems with. It's a good piece of software when it works and it's good to receive notifications to your email when it detects someone doing something naughty.

I had the update this morning. It looks so tacky! I thought it was a virus

We have had this issue a couple of time and deleting the user profiles from the machine has sorted the problem. Wish i knew what caused it though!

We have done this too and have found it to be a good solution. We get kids come in with confiker on their sticks but it won't execute and spread.

I was taught to keep it in first gear when I was learning about 8 years ago. I do everything properly now these days though!

Is anyone having issues with it not blocking sites that it should be doing in the blocked list? We had this issue with 3.0.0.8 and had a remote session where they put a pre-release of the new patch on the machines and it worked like a charm! Now we have the full release and it's gone back to it's old ways. Haven't had any problems with IE crashing though.... yet:p

Is the sims.ini file in the windows folder on the computer looking at the right place? And is the connect.ini in program files/sims/sims .net file path ok?

We have issues with a staff and students dragging and dropping folders into other folders. Is there a chance that could have happend?

Control, Alt, Delete Have a look at the section towards the bottom titled "Administrator Unable to Unlock a "Locked" Computer " and see if any of those look like the reason it could be happening.

Not had anything like this no. Are the machines being used or left unattened?

I don't think it's a good idea. Can the supply teacher not have their own account created?

We got updated yesterday. Everything seems to be running smooooooth

Try opening them up in wordpad or notepad. It may look like gobbledy gook to start with but somewhere in there should be the original text. It might not work if there was tables or pictures in though.

The kids are having registration at 11 and then we will be off for the day wooohooo!!!

According to the beeb it's supposed to be snowing in Birmingham now. It isn't though so I am in work If we get snow later it will be a nightmare to get back home on the M6!
