The school are advertising my position: ICT Technician Technicians at Highsted Grammar School, SITTINGBOURNE ICT Technician: 37 hours per week - full time (Highsted Academy Band 6: £19,032) Flexible and enthusiastic individual required to work at this outstanding girls grammar school. The successful candidate will support IT facilities within the school, providing support for staff and pupils in the delivery of the curriculum. Maintain the IT suite and all IT equipment, and contribute directly to the development of skills and resources relating to IT in the school. I do muck about with techy/gadgety stuff like arduino and rpi, and am know as a geek outside of work. But can be found blacksmithing on Saturdays (second job) Also lift weights, spend lunch break getting some walking miles in and have fun with our 6 dogs too (4 are giant breeds). Misses and I have plans for a homestead raising animals one day, hopefully that'll supplant the IT job

on our stairs we have a wooden hinged gate that has locating 'sockets' fitted to the wall, not sure if the latch would be too easy to learn/overcome (we use it for dogs)

I encourage anyone vaguely interested and local to go for it. I love it when I get the chance, don't have my own gear because I just can't spare the time. I'll never forgetting loosing a few hand made arrows from an 80lb long bow

I'm a blacksmith, I'm pretty reasonable with some bushcrafting. Can do animal slaughter and butchery Don't have guns but do have functional swords In good shape and could walk/run for reasonable distance as and when needed These scenarios have occurred to me before, and I have made sure I have some useful equipment around

I loved my minidisc player! They were pretty robust and handy discs to carry around. I had the Creative DAP when it came out, 6Gb 3.5" drive inside a Discman sized shell, one of the early digital music player (I think) About 8 years ago I was driving a VW Golf MKIV and installed a carpc, with molded dash touch screen and the hardware all hidden in panels in the boot (leaving a fully usable boot space)
