Stuart, I would check the template file, just to see if the left module is duplicating the main menu module. Jamie

Here is the code to do this in PHP // set up an array $dates = array(); //start date for the year $start_date = "2011-09-05"; //end date for the year $end_date = "2012-07-21"; //which week number to start on $num = 1; while ($start_date <= $end_date) { // Split the given date down into day, month, and year list($yy,$ym,$yd) = explode('-', $start_date); // work out the week number $weeknum = ltrim(date('W',mktime(0,0,0,$ym,$yd,$yy)), '0'); // write it to the array $dates[$weeknum] = $num; // Ternary operator to alternate the week number $num = ($num == 1) ? 2 : 1; // increase the start date by 7 days for the next week $start_date = date('Y-m-d',mktime(0,0,0,$ym,$yd+7,$yy)); } //print out the array for all the weeks in the year //print_r($dates); // work out modays date from todays date $date = date('Y-m-d', mktime(0,0,0,date('m'), date('d')-date('w')+1, date('Y'))); //explode it list($year,$month,$day) = explode('-', $date); //work out our week number $weeknum = date('W',mktime(0,0,0,$month,$day,$year)); //echo out the result echo " This week is week ". $dates[$weeknum] .""; Hope this helps, Jamie

+1 for Expression Engine it is a really nice CMS. The foundation for it is the codeignter PHP framework which is also awesome in its own right.

I think the main thing is he wants the content restructuring, more engaging and in some places finishing. We have a web developer and graphic designer in our team and he likes to keep them busy with extra projects. I agree with steve more staff involvement is key.

This is giving me the same problem in safari, firefox and chrome on the mac. I will have a look at this for you, i think it is just some tweaking to be done in the css. If you could let us have a look at your code that would really help, which is the style sheet you are using. Jamie

ive currently got around 12 macs, for authentication we use admit for mac, user can login with their AD username and password, depending on how you set it up their windows network share mounts as the home folder, although we have it mounted to the desktop. To set up a default dock and user profile. The presets are stored in /system/library/usertemplate. in this folder you should have subfolder such as English.iproj etc. If you encounter problems you may need to change the permissions on this folder, or as i needed to do enable the Root account, which im sure a quick google can help you resolve. Create a new account, mine is called 'user'. Login as 'user' and set up the account as required Log out and login to a admin account. I advise you to keep a backup of the user template folder before doing anything else Open Terminal and type the follwing command: sudo cp -R /system/Library/User\ Template /System/library/User\ Template1 If prompted enter your password, You should now see a folder called User Template1 go back to terminal and type sudo rm -R /System/Library/User\ Template/English.iproj this will delete the systems template and you now need to copy 'users' home folder by typing: sudo cp -R /Users/User /System/Library/User\ Template/English.iproj These will take effect immediately, so create your self a new account see if thats what you wanted. Hi all, i have a rather annoying printer that will only print the first 2" from the left hand margin. it then fades out gracefully. We have had an engineer out who doesnt seem to fix the issue, just resovles it for a short while. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to fix. Many Thanks Jamie

hi, this is normally due to the css, with the image slider being floated to the right. Normally its IE giving the grief. i can have a look if you want, pop up a link to the site and we can take it from there. Jamie

At the moment we are trying to move everything online, so currently i'm writing a php/mysql calendar and then just pulling out the relevant data at the relevant points. It seems to be working well.
-
When trying on the server you should just have to type in http://localhost and you should be able to see the site.
-
There should be a folder called HTDOCS. Extract the Joomla files into a folder within the HTDOCS folder. Then to set up Joomla and the MYSQL database go to http://localhost/(folder name) *Replace folder name with the name of the folder which contains the joomla files. To Access PHP My Admin, vist http://localhost and there will be a link to php My Admin at the bottom of the page. Jamie

That sounds like a good solution to me.
