  1. "That one in the middle? That one is called General Ack-Bacon. The only survivor of the great pig massacre of 2012" Sheer genius if bordering on mentally unhinged to sit there for that long to do it.
  2. I want one nao, but at $16k i think i'll give it a miss! Cool vid though
  3. Apparently it bounced up off a grass verge just outside the petrol station on the A1. I have a feeling it fell out of the trailer being pulled by the silver/white car. EDIT: - not too sure now. look at the entrance to the garage at 6 seconds. there is a black mass moving across the entrance.

  11. HAHAHAHAHAHA ROFL Nothing else to say except that was a fine waste of Tax payers money. You might even say it went up in smoke
  12. I sincerely regret posting this story now. I can see that doing so has opened a wound that many you had only just managed to seal. I reel-y hope that we can all put this behind us now and forget it ever happened.
  13. Well it appears that some people thought mermaids actually existed! BBC News - No evidence of mermaids, says US government
  14. One of my schools has 13 of these installed as part of their new build. They plumped for the more expensive option of 72" screens with built in PC's. Each PC has a Blu-Ray drive built in too. OVERKILL for a Primary School!! I was not part of the decision but ho hum! Anyways back on track - In my opinion, these machines are nothing to shout about. Sure technologically they are good but in terms of longevity they suck. They have been installed just under a year, already we have had one screen that has been replaced entirely and then had the touch surface replaced, Another one has been taken away on express repair (2 weeks ago) for a faulty backlight. I'm not that impressed with them to be honest. I certainly don't expect equipment like this to fail so often and as such it has put me off them. One other major gripe I have with them is the way they have been designed. There are 2 Infra-Red emitters in the top corners of the screen. In between these emitters are the cameras which monitor the infra red. Around the bezel of the screen is a reflective strip which bounces the Infra-red all over the display surface. The issue here is that dirt builds up on the screen causing the infra-red beams to be broken thus causing the camera to pick up the break and interpret it as a touch. VERY POOR design if you ask me. I wouldn't really recommend these as an option in a primary school.
  15. Have you seen the full episode?? It is VERY weird to watch! Chuck Lorre presented it to the Network and they basically said it's not bad but fix it! That's when he swapped the lead female character for Kaley Cuoco and introduced the characters Raj and Wolowitz. When he took it back to them they loved it and it is what it is now. Here is the full episode if you are interested: The Big Bang Theory #00x00 - Unaired Test Pilot • VideoSift: Online Video *Quality Control
  16. It's no wonder he has no memory of the accident! The spear obliterated the memory for him. Here is a prototype for the neurolyzer from Men in Black.
  17. Ah, they've added the tax on in the first screen then! The screenshot makes it look like it should be added on afterwards. [sarcasm] Is it??? Good Gosh, silly me! [/sarcasm] I know it's a hoax but the numbers just didn't look right that's all. What i was getting at was the fact that if they were going to pull this hoax they should have at least made the numbers look right.
  18. Is it just me or is there something not quite right about the images in the second link. Let's break it down: Image 1: Cost of TV - $682.45 Delivery - $29.78 IE7 Tax - $43.45 Total on Screen - $712.23 Actual Total should be - $755.68 - IE7 Tax isn't applied at all on this screen Image 2: TV Price - $639.00 Total On screen - $668.78 Again no IE7 Tax but the TV costs are different Anyone care to venture a guess at the real cost of the TV???
  19. Genius!! I can see people getting arreested doing that over here though!!
  20. I'm having problems running this software over the network. The main part of the software works ok however when the Yellow lego block is clicked the software crashes out. I resolved this (or so i thought) by reinstalling the Activity Pack however this only resolved it on the one machine. Anyone had any success getting this to work over the network?
  21. Love number 15!!
  22. Quick update on this for those who are interested. I don't have access to any GPO stuff as i'm just a lowly techie and my sys admins have just come back and said they can't do anything about it at the moment. Basically our Network setup is screwed up. We are running XP and Win 7 Machines on the same domain on a Server 2003 Network. We have had to apply workarounds to allow the user accounts to work on the network in this manner and as such we cannot apply any Win 7 specific GPO changes. The really bad thing about all this is due to the way the network has been setup and messed with over time is we have Domain Users (yes all of them) in the local Administrator group!! I know, Iknow. all of you now either have your head in your hands, are crying or are laughing at this ridiculous setup, but hey what can I do?? I am but a lowly techie!! My AD privileges extend to password resets and moving Computers into the correct OU's!! We can't even do Software deployment via MSI's. Whilst i love my job I sometimes hate the restrictions placed upon me!!! anyways, rant over. Just thought i should update you all and thanks for looking.
  23. Both wrong but sparkeh was closer!! It should be: Did he fry it in ewok?
