May have to chalk this down to another intune "Feature"

Nice to know I'm not going mad! I've been googling, double checking settings reimagining test machines exactly the same way as the pilot group - even resorted to ChatGPT!!!! on a slightly different question, on the enrollment I have app set to device groups but it waits until the account setup before installing them - is this normal? Beginning to think I've gone down a rabbit hole and wish I stayed as I was.....

I've ran an Intune pilot with a group of staff where it went really well. Finally SLT took the plunge and we have got 100 laptops ready to deploy, except the deployment isn't doing the same as the original pilot. All laptops are refurb Dell Latitudes 5420 - SCCM to deploy the initial Windows 11 image and then some powershell scripts to add the Hardware hash to intune - this bit works perfectly. Member of staff comes along, signs in to start the enrollment process and then leave, and the laptop does its thing...... Laptop reboots and staff log in again and it continues phase 3 of the enrollment process (finishes installing apps) - I don't remember it doing this during the pilot (but this was 3 months ago and a lot has happened since for me to remember) Laptop finishes the whole process, staff log in and set up the windows hello and all good. On the original pilot laptops - if I logged in or another member of staff logged in at a later dates, the laptop would just do the Windows Hello bit and then all good. On the laptops ready to deploy to staff, if I or another member of staff log in, it starts from Phase 3 of the deployment (installing apps) - which has be confused as it had never done this before. - Is this normal behaviour?? Also on MS Endpoint/Intune - Devices -> Enrollment -> Windows Autopilot Devices, if I go to a pilot laptop, it show the user assigned, on an new laptop it doesn't (even though the user has logged in) - I have never assigned users this way (or that I can remember) - again should user automatically be assigned to the laptop if they enrolled it? - It shows them as the primary user under the device -> Windows Devices. I'm confused and concerned that the pilot group enrollment is behaving slightly differently to the production deployment. Any intune guru's about to help shine a light for me 🙂 Cheers

So I have started pulling together a map and have some links in place - would like to have the speeds appearing on the links - have seen plenty of youtube videos but for the life of me I cannot get it working. Uplink Port on switch I want to display some info on the link is Port 49 and the link info is using the following - {a1-ubnt-edgeswitch:net.if.out[ifOutOctets.49].last()} I've tried last(0) and still nothing. Is there a setting somewhere I need to enable to get labels to show snmp info? Cheers

I'm using an intuned laptop for everything these days but one of the things I havent got solved is how I can run RSAT to manage AD etc. For those running on Intune devices, how to you manage AD related things? I had thought about a VM but is that really the answer? Cheers?

What are schools using to detect AI text within coursework etc?

Turns out to be an edge setting being applied somewhere setting YouTube to restricted.

Today I have nothing but complaints about YouTube not working and videos being blocked for staff, even though I haven't made changes to any policies. Member of staff uses Edge to play a video she normally uses in lesson but was blocked with the following message Video unavailable This video is restricted. Please check the Google Workspace administrator and/or the network administrator restrictions. I found the playlist - in Edge, 2 videos show and the rest are hidden but in chrome all are visible and all play We are a purely 365 school - so nothing google configured etc. I thought it could have been a filtering thing but it does the same thing on my Intune Laptop from home Appears to work fine on Mobile phone for Edge, Safari, Chrome etc....... even when requesting full desktop site. Anyone else come across anything like this before? Cheers

Recently I have been getting a lot of failure notification alerts Connection to Microsoft Entra ID failed due to authentication failure. Export to Microsoft Entra ID failed. - The export operation to Microsoft Entra connector has failed. As a result, some objects may not be exported successfully to Microsoft Entra ID. Import from Microsoft Entra ID failed. - The import operation from Microsoft Entra connector has failed. And the after a hour or so I then get email notification saying the issues are now resolved. Has anyone else been experiencing these? I am using the latest Entra Sync tool - first thing I checked as I knew the old version was being dropped. Cheers

Due to have Locker Connect setup tomorrow, so I have started the PreReqs I think I have some kind of .net issue as I am seeing different versions being reported! Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full\1033 shows the release as 461814 which translates to 4.7.2 but the version is showing 4.7.03190 😕 Event viewer is showing as v4.0.30319 on the error when running connect. I've tried running the latest version for .NET Framework 4.7.x installer and it fails due to .net 4.7 or a later update is already installed on this computer. Anyone shine any light on what on earth my DC is thinking? Last resort is spinning up new VM and transfer all roles and reinstall bits like Entra connect etc but I would like to avoid this if possible. Any help/advice welcome. Cheers

** Realised posted in wrong area - feel free to move if needed ** Currently trialing intune laptop/USB C docks with some staff with a view to moving to all teaching staff in September. So far so good....... I have a couple of questions for those who are already managing intune devices. Windows Updates - Use WuFB or Action1? (Talking 100 laptops - so Action1 will be free) AV - Windows Defender or Fortinet EMS? (We already use Fortigate, and FortiClient for Authentication, stick EMS on and use that for AV, Authentication, Compliance etc) If EMS, on premise or cloud hosting? I want to try and make sure I have as much cover in place as I can - especially if and when I want to go for Cyber Essentials etc.... Cheers

Not sure if people know of this and have already looked at this, but I stumbled across this on Github IntuneScripts/ConfigurationProfileSettings at main · rbalsleyMSFT/IntuneScripts · GitHub Within the article there is a tool which imports the settings - but what I found to be really handy is this same tool will allow you to export your intune settings/configs etc Hope some people find this useful.

Which version of Net2ADSyncServer do you run? I'm presuming as I have different access levels in place for staff and sixth form, I would need the ultimate.
