  1. Nope didn’t find out and gave up in the end.
  2. Looks like I may be getting my wish and getting laptops for staff or use with everyday teaching and possibly for home/remote teaching/usage etc. We currently use SCCM to manage desktops in school and have just recently starting using Intune to manage student laptops offsite. Since staff laptops will be used in school and at home - it has got me thinking how best to manage these devices in terms of software deployments and updates. DoI open up SCCM to the internet and manage devices that way? Do I go solely with Intune and AzureAD joined only and deploy apps based on user/device groups? Or do I go SCCM/Intune Co-Managed with Hybrid AD and AzureAD Joined? User Documents will all be sync'd to Office 365 and will slowly be moving Shared Docs to SharePoint - so mapped drives shouldnt be needed. Would be interested in hearing peoples thoughts - especially if you have already done this and can point out any "Gotcha" scenarios. Cheers Mark
  3. All sorted - had a coffee and clicked on the Plus side next to secret and hey presto!! Just waiting for things too sync.
  4. Please move if not in correct area. Have CloudFilter up and running but found everything was being blocked - and think it becuase I havent added an AzureAD Directory on Smoothwall. Come to add it and - it is a bit of a pain to say the least! Slowly trying to create and App on AzureAD following these instructions i stumbled across - https://help.smoothwall.net/FilterFirewall/Content/4Services/1Authentication/2Directories/7AzureAD/Add.htm I've got down to number 4 - Certificates & Secrets - and my mind has lost the will to live!! Am I to generate a certificate and upload it? - Instructions not very clear!! Anyone done this and able to point me in the right directions?? Ticket open with Smoothwall - need I say more???? Cheers.
  5. I found I Needed to add some sites to the exception filter and non https inspections lists. Added the following amd.com hp.com hpanalytics.net intel.com nuvoton.com
  6. Did think of that but SCCM disabled Shift F10 on the OOBE so can’t run a script to get the device hash to import into intune. Smoothwall checked and all ok on smoothwall box and suggested issues is non smoothwall related. Doesn’t help that have an issue with provisioning devices in school as they fail provisioning straight away with error 80192ee7 So far either trying to provision via hotspot or home.
  7. Seem to have deployments failing when adding apps. I have 4 app deployments as part of the enrollment Chrome Smoothwall Unifi Client (Cloud Filter) Smoothwall Visigo (Smoothwall Monitor) Office 365 Appear for some reason Office 365 is failing and causing the enrollment to fail. I have set 60min for the deployment before timing out Any other way I can get Office 365 deployed out? Cheers
  8. That's what i thought.......
  9. Thats interesting.... having similar issues not only with that model of HP but some older ones as well. Just testing with my surface book pro from home to see if it is an Intune issue.
  10. Quick question on this thread to save opening another one...... Intune Licensing...... do you license the device or the user or both? Cheers
  11. I'm looking at the webfilter live logs and cannot see anything being blocked for the laptop IP address I am using/testing. Have posted a ticket with smoothwall and will have to wait until they reply. Cheers
  12. So I am importing device hashes into intune and I am having issues with Smoothwall not allowing Intune to provision correctly. Intune gives me the following error error 80192ee7 Works fine when on a mobile hotspot. Thought would ask on here before trying to get smoothwall involved. Cheers
  13. If using Teams, you can ask staff to use an add on app called Insight. It gives you some stats about student activity such as file usages, logon times etc. Have a look here - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/educator-s-guide-to-insights-in-microsoft-teams-27b56255-90c0-47aa-bac3-1c9f50157181
  14. Yep checked all services and rebooted server without success. Updated the capita ticket asking them to check the account to check it not blocked from sending - knowing their helpdesk closed until the 4th but at least they have the information when they return. Spent this afternoon putting messages on the website and sent emails via a newly created email account so we could get information out. Very annoyingly intouch springs back to life and the test message I sent this afternoon arrives in my inbox just as i finish sent the last of the emails. Nothing change outside - so I am wondering if someone is looking at tickets at capita and check the status of our intouch user and fixed it.
  15. Don’t think I’m able to check the status of the intouch user account and that would fall under their domain. I’m just assuming it office 365 as the MX record for capita-intouch.co.uk point to MIcrosoft.
  16. Have a strange issue with intouch and I’m waiting for capita to pick up where they left off when they return on the 4th but I thought would as a question on here. Our intouch will not send messages but can receive messages which I find odd. Intouch uses Office365 - if a mail user gets blocked for sending too many messages would they still be able to receive emails?? Im basically clutching at straws as SLT need to send messages to parents about the start of term and is causing issues. I’m currently working on plan B & C which is notices on website and creating our own email address so we can send email to parents and then exporting parental emails details from sims and the adding them to BCC and sending emails in small batches to parents. Cheers
  17. Use LibreNMS, works well but relies on being able to PING the device to monitor - which isnt ideal as I wanted to turn off that feature on our smoothwall box. Tried to use PTRG and Zabbix and got lost trying to configure them.
  18. They ended up going to external company - as they felt I had too much on to redesign the current site - which is fair enough as I do have a fair bit of work on. Instead I, new deputy who is driving this, the head and myself are the ones who are on the “design” committee, had a meeting with external company and basically I sat there in silence as deputy went through what he likes and the head agreed. I’m now sitting back and letting them get on with it - on the plus side I will have even less to do with it as the plans for to allow certain staff to edit different areas of the new website.
  19. Nope! Users cache storage folders were getting near the 1gb mark - that * 80+ staff and it zooms adds up - not to mention increased traffic erc
  20. I did redirect the AppData folder but when we installed Teams App on machines, the AppData folder suddenly grew in size due to Teams App caching files and no visible way of controlling it. Have removed the redirection for the time being to see if that helps things.
  21. We have rolled out Office 365 Apps to our staff desktops including the MS Teams App. I use a redirected AppData folder to the users home drive. Noticed a sudden increase in the amount of storage being used on staff home drives and discovered that Teams is using an insane amount of storage in the AppData folder. AppData\Microsoft\Teams\Service Worker\CacheStorage Anyone come across this??
  22. That sounds exactly like out issue with parents reporting to hardly hear staff in school were staff at home has no issues. I replaced the drives in our S8 to SSD drives and with a 300MB connection, bandwidth was approx the same as yours. Wondering if school cloud have a limit on number of current connections from a single IP?
  23. Bit of an update - might actually be an ISP routing issue. We have had an outage since yesterday afternoon and after email tennis and phone calls from me, I hit the roof when I was asked to provide traceroute diagnostics to googledns - since then phoned 3 times and had the same conversation - mainline down but out backup connection is showing as up! - queue long repeated conversation leading them to suddenly realise there is a routing issue and we have no connectivity! Still waiting on an update - will give them another hour before I call them again! 1st time this has happened in the 9 years with them. On the plus side - been very quiet in the office this morning
  24. Currently running WinMTR to check for latency just incase there is an issue with ISP. They said they have checked their end but worth running a check from our end. Ok now for the numpty question time....... what is the difference between www. Google.co.Uk and google.co.uk in terms of running a traceroute?
