Right my HDD started to make a clicky noise of death and by the time i could start to back things up. it just dissapeared from My Computer. I've heard rumours that you can put it in your freezer over night and it'd work for like 20 mins or so... If so what do I need to do? Cheers, Dave

Evening All. Can anyone suggest a descent but not too expensive outdoor wireless bridge, would like to connect 2 buildings together but can't run cables outdoors. Also in the building i'd like to install the network in we can't put alot of trunking and the walls are very thick, was thinking about ethernet over power... is there descent ones out there? had a random idea of doing it over power then adding access points so the building becomes wireless.... Just a quick question I'm not too sure on, like the network policy is there a Legislation to what content / images etc are submitted on a school website? which has been produced by the ELA or Gov? Were currently using Quicken 2003 for accounting "hate it" but we can't change the software yet, the company closed in the UK and havent had any updates but the .com US version has a latest version, (but thats in dollars which wont work) but now our systems have been upgraded to Vista the software wont work correctly we can't backup or save, I installed a number of Patches on but still nothing. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm in the middle of sorting a school website out and I want to use Joomla as it's the easiest way staff / myself will be able to update information, as in the past HTML became an issue. I want to create a Parents Area where a selected number of parents have access to a forum - they'd be given account details to login in to Joomla but all the Joomla Extensions are rubbish, so I thought of using phpBB for a Forum "like the Joomla Forums section" but id need to bridge user accounts from Joomla to phpBB is there patches for this? does anyone know anything or is this possible? Also Joomla gives Super Administrators, Registered Users, Publishers etc. is there a way which makes it possible to make my own, ie: Staff / Student / Parents so i can limit information for them different categories? Cheers
