  1. I did have a Helpdesk ticket to change somebody's car tyre once! I gracefully declined...well not very gracefully tbh
  2. Yeah - a cracking performance and interesting film. Watched Roma tonight - very good I thought
  3. I just watched an episode of "Sex Education" because it received some good reviews. Very strange show - supposedly set in the UK with British actors - but the whole ambiance is of a 1980s American High School - with the stock characters (bullies, jocks, geeks, mean girls etc) and people wandering round in letterman jackets and roughing people up by the lockers. Won't be watching the rest of the series
  4. Not sure this is the correct forum, but here goes... Just started using OSMC and I'm looking for a way to see more files onscreen at once when I'm selecting what to play. I have a LOT of files in some folders and was hoping to find a way to have at least 2 columns of filenames to sort through, rather than just one. Is there a setting or a skin that could do that? I've tried searching but can't seem to phrase the question correctly to find what I'm looking for. Thanks
  5. Prefer the darker sweeter beers myself - a porter would be fine, but I can settle for a stout of a red/amber beer Some of the IPAs just seem like a dare to drink overhopped beer - but I guess each to their own
  6. Just finished My Brilliant Friend - very good I thought, though I haven't read the book
  7. We did goose a couple of years ago - its very fatty and the one we had was pretty chewy too - not a success. In our famine years when we were on the dole (as it was then) - we had "Leopard Pie" once - which was just nasty undercooked vegetables in a pastry case - not a great festive lunch. Like @mikeprice above, we are hosting this year for the first time (at my age!) - great I thought, at least I don't have to drive to visit the aged rellies on the busiest week of the year...but what do I find - my suster who was bringing my Mum down from Southport can't come, so I have to go and get her and my father-in-law has lost his license due to medical stuff and I have to get them from Chichester. so I have all the hassle and expense of hosting and TWICE as much driving as I have to fetch and return them all too. Merry bloody Christmas!
  8. Seconded. In fact most of his books are well wortha read - recently read the Railhead trilogy - very good
  9. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-46476369 Went to see them - I'm starting to feel very old
  10. (How can a smile be too short to post!)
  11. Call yourself an IT techie! This is obviously a job for duct tape and lots of it!
  12. I still buy the Christmas Radio Times though - just for the nostalgia of looking at whats on and remembering the excitement of planning what to watch in the days before video recorders
  13. I might be interested - pm me the sort of money you're looking for Oh and a couple of questions - can it play H265 video and can it connect easily to a local server (rather than copy files over) and if so - does the server need to run specific software? Cheers
  14. Well, I've ordered from eGlobal, so if there's a problem, I'll be asking you guys for a whip-round!
  15. Thanks - I'm after the G6 Plus though - for the better camera
  16. Thanks - anyone use eglobal - it gets such terrible reviews - I was a bit unsure whether to risk it
  17. If you're near Northampton - just drop it round - I've just a setup to do this!
  18. I fancy a Moto G6 Plus Dual Sim if anybody sees one - cheers!
  19. I think the staff numbers were for all 4 schools in the MAT

  21. What would be worse is thinking of it, doing it, losing the wallet and all details during a hardware refresh cycle when you're off sick and then watching the value of the coins you no longer have go astronomic! ...I would imagine....
  22. You didn't need a GPU back when bitcoin started
  23. This one made me smirk (warning - contains politics!)
  24. All you need is admin access to hundreds of PCs and a long summer holiday...cough cough...
