Does the server not come with a RAID card? Yes that is the point but I thought the server came with one? Would you be able to point out a RAID card from Insight that would be compatible. Completely lost here :-) Thanks

Ok thanks for the advice and just to hamper things slightly - will these drives: Seagate be compatible with this server: Server and if so how many drives would fit in each server. I think that they are compatible and three per sever would fit but would I need anything else or is the SCSI controller onboard sufficent. Sorry everyone but hardware is not really my strongpoint. This might sound silly but if you have an optical mouse it's probabaly travelling a little bit effectively moving it and not allowing the screensaver to start - just an idea.

This was talked about at one of the schools I work with and a pilot was actually carried out. They stopped it as soon as they reaslised jobs were taking considerably longer due to the time necesity on filling out the time sheets themselves. I wouldn't have a "problem" with it as such but can imagine it would become quite boring.

I usually get hayfever really realy badly for one day a year - can't breath or see during that period. However after that I tend to find that I'm alright. I feel really sorry for people that suffer for it for a while as I absolutely hate it. Tom PS - not had my day this year so dreading waking up every morning at the moment.

Hi all I am having a problem with exchange personal contact lists I.E. not the global address lists. It seems to be permissions related as everytime a user tries to view their contact list from the "To" button in a new message it can't find the list. They can however go in through the Outlook contacts tab and create in there. However even once a contact is created, it is not "auto recognised" if this makes any sense into a new message and simply refuses to send whatsover. This is becomming a pain as more and more members of staff are beginning to ask about distribution lists - which suffer exactly the same problems. Thanks Tom

Oh no they haven't, just disabled them by default. If you go into the control pannel and use classic view, click on Programs and Features, down the left hand side there will be a Turn Windows Features on or off option. Go into that and tick the Games box, simple as that. Not that I spend my day playing solitaire Tom

We had that a while ago. Our RBC is trying to get registered by google as an ISP to attempt to stop this, your's may be doing the same. The problem occurs because of the vast amounts of google access atempts that will be comming from your service providor. Tom

Hi all I am in the process of writing a pre-login message (the must click on ok to continue one) and am completely stuck and useless at doing this sort of thing. Basically it needs to say, we are watching everything and have access to all of everything. Any abuse at all of the system or breaking of the AUP will result in sudden death etc etc etc.... Does anybody have any advice regarding proper wording and so on? Or even a good example I could take a look at. Thanks Tom

Hi all Is it possible to apply Exchange (2003) attributes to more than one user at a time? It's probabaly really easy and I am betting I have completely looked over something. For example: In the Exchange Active Directory Users and Computers snap in, the properties of a single user will allow me to change the storage limitations (what I am trying to do), however selecting more than one user gets rid of all of the exchange specific tabs. I don't want to apply the new limits to the default policy as I want to create seperate storage and sending limits to different groups of staff/students. Thanks Tom

May be a really silly question and I can guarantee it's somewhere obvious but where is the group policy setting to disable opening a new window everytime a folder is browsed to. I have just set up a new policy and can't work out whats doing it. Thanks Tom
