I had that too. And when I emailed them back, they said "Yes that's right" and listed our orders which they hadn't actually cancelled. Very odd.

Don't get me wrong. The storyline is great, if disjointed occasionally. The actual game loop - sneak or shoot etc...? Works well. Its possible to sneak your way through missions, frying people's synapses etc... Its just not the RPG I was expecting it to be. I was expecting something closer to Fallout New Vegas than GTA with a bit of Fallout 4. But, all those games are great. So, its worth playing. There's LOTS of content to play. I have to agree that it isn't really ready though. Another 6 months of polish to fix the below par physics and AI would have been well worth it from CDPR. But you won't see my refunding it. Then again. I didn't refund No Man's Sky either... And look how that game turned out?

So, I've played about 20 hours of this, split across Xbox One X and PC. Both are roughly the same in terms of bugs/crashes. The main difference between the 2 is quality of the graphics, and density of NPCs. PC has way more people wandering around. Yet, even with more people, the city still doesn't seem very alive. Its supposed to be a megacity but you only see clusters of people in any density in a handful of spots. The "news" being played when you launch, or when you're in game is repetitive and gets old quick too. However, my biggest complaints for the game are not about bugs or crashes - after all, I've played hundreds of hours in Bethesda games, and even years on they still crash to desktop at times. No, my biggest complaints are around the lack of attention to detail in the engine. Police pop in at random if you get a warrant, and take barely any time at all to leave behind, because they don't chase in cars. Water physics are hilariously poor. No splashes when you shoot water. A grenade going off in water is just like one going off on land. No water splashing. The car AI. Good lord this sucks. Driving along one of the highways? You'll suddenly come across 20 cars all stopped for no reason. No blockage. No red lights. Just stopped. And because the sides of the highway are often split by a concrete boundary, you're stuck behind them as there's not enough space to get past. So, you have to smash your way through. The car AI also spends half its time wobbling across lanes. Nothing is smooth about it. A lane change by an AI car? Wobble wobble wobble, and change. If you punch an NPC (non-gang/PD), they will always run away. GTA V, a 5 year old game, would have them fight back sometimes at least. There's loads more like that. The physics engine is just pretty primitive. Especially for a £50 game. Then there's the RPG stuff - in short, there isn't really a lot of it. You very rarely get an option to actually choose a different path forward, it sometimes seems like there is, but having played through some of the game twice on the different platforms, taking different speech options? The end result is nearly always identical, and has no long term consequences either way. Sure, some stuff differs, but not enough for me to think of it as an RPG. More of a linear storyline with a handful of branches. Crafting is pretty much pointless - enemies drop so many items, and there's so much stuff lying around everywhere, you can just find better guns constantly. There's no advantage to keeping on upgrading a gun you like when the next mission you get will throw 20 new ones at you. And the skill tree all seems to be fiddling around the edges. 3% better this, 2% better that. Never seems to have that much of an effect on gameplay - especially when you get new guns with much higher DPS all the time. So, all in all. I am enjoying the game, but it was massively overhyped and underachieves. CDPR have not made a game anywhere near as good as they made out it would be. It is more primitive even than Fallout 4 tbh. Its effectively an FPS with a bit of Watchdogs thrown in. Is it worth the release day price? Simply put? No.

If a Powerwash doesn't do it, you can always reinstall the OS as well - https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/1080595?hl=en-GB

Total nonsense from the Express as usual. Google have explained the issue was due to a quota internally.

My last few Android phones have had a camera icon on the lockscreen itself. So, I don't need to unlock or open the app. I just swipe that icon up and the camera is ready to go. So, I've never felt the need to go back to a compact. I've got my Canon 6D if I want anything fancier too.

Looks like it was some form of quota issue.

There's no question that Musk as a person is not exactly the best all round. However, the things he has achieved are pretty darn impressive. It is rare that someone manages to get both talent and a good personality though. The 2 seem to be at pretty opposite ends of the spectrum.

[sims] Capita is trying to sell off non-core businesses (SIMS is for sale)

Yup. Staff not being pulled in was one of the main reasons we ended up migrating away to ParentMail. -
Looks like a total Google outage.

10 hours in to CP2077 myself. I get a crash every 2 hours or so. I'm playing on Xbox One X, so last gen. Had a couple of minor glitches. Seems much better since 1.04. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Its very odd wording then! But yes, you seem to be right. "Following successful completion of both deals, Education Software will become part of the ParentPay Group" -

I think people are reading that wrong. They're buying ESS. But they aren't buying ParentPay - they're investing in them. That doesn't mean they're taking control. EDIT: Oh, that's odd. "Following successful completion of both deals, Education Software will become part of the ParentPay Group". -
If you're up for a bit of effort customising, Request Tracker will do what you want too.

Should Internal and External Domain names be the same?
localzuk replied to fiza's topic in How do you do....it?
Could you not host it on your school website? -
Its their "cloud" focused licensing scheme. You buy things like Microsoft 365 A1/A3/A5, etc... The CSP part is that it is all handled via a "Cloud Solutions Partner".
-
Microsoft's goal is to get everyone to move to CSP licensing these days. You may find that cheaper as well.

Should Internal and External Domain names be the same?
localzuk replied to fiza's topic in How do you do....it?
Why aren't you simply using an internal CA? Are devices that don't have the ability to have a root certificate installed connecting to your AD server? We have LDAPS set up - as we have an Windows CA server. No need for Lets Encrypt at all. -
Ruckus at 5 schools and 3 nurseries. Unifi at one school with a nursery on the same site. Only issues I've had were - Ruckus - when we upgraded to the v10 firmware on the ZoneDirector, our oldest laptop wifi cards stopped connecting (HP ProBook 6570b). Conveniently, those were due to be retired during the same week, so it was no major loss. Unifi - we had an issue early on where the APs would disconnect from the controller so we couldn't see what they were doing. Firmware updates have resolved that one.

As this is a mistake by the school, the school has to eat the costs imo. I don't think you should zero accounts, as you say that would punish people who had been putting money on the system. I think this should be a case of readding the extra money they were given and eating the cost.

[sims] Capita is trying to sell off non-core businesses (SIMS is for sale)
localzuk replied to psydii's topic in MIS Systems
Realistically, the company would be buying a legacy MIS, an MIS in its infancy and a list of customers that has been continually shrinking for years. If it were a growing list this would be different matter. If Sims was regarded highly by everyone that used it, it'd be a different matter. If Capita had not made some huge mistakes over the last few years damaging the brand, it would be a different matter. But all put together, it is a hard sell. Compare spending £350m on ESS, or building your own products for the same amount or less.
