Thanks. I had to follow some instructions to powerwash them, stating that the chromebook goes into developer mode, however,, it could not because they were setup by the original owner so it booted into verified mode instead where it looks like it is going through a setup etc The chromebooks are setup by the original administrator to the schools domain, how do I create a new administrator account for this domain where it will pick up all the original settings ? Its now asking for a Enterprise Enrollment account managed by the current domain, how do I create a new one for this domain, is it possible ? Thanks

Hi all, Just wondered if anyone had a quick script that will remove Sophos Enterprise Console or Sophos Antivirus from clients, as removing this product from clients is a time consuming job ? Thanks all

Many thanks. The wireless settings were greyed out !!! Does the G Suite Admin Console require the password of the user who set them up ? That user is no longer around and may still use their account somewhere else. Thanks

Hi all, Have a client who setup several chromebooks themselves. They aren't something I have ever used, the person who sent them up has left the company, the chromebooks need the proxy settings removing, but looks like the person who set them up has used their account, what would be the best way to resolve this, is it reset the chrombooks or is there another way ? Thanks guys,

A couple of our customers have Windows 2008 R2 Servers. Have taken over these recently. Have transferred the Internet filtering to Smoothwall, who added a Smoothwall Certificate policy to GP. In addition, we no longer use proxy filtering and it now is transparent through Smoothwall. However, have removed the previous proxy settings from GP and added in Google as the Internet homepage in GP. However, have noticed that oddly, some laptops pick up the policies after running a gpresult /r check and others do not. Have cleared the laptop profiles just to check, ran gpudate /force, even rebooted and same outcome. The laptops are in the same OU. The gpresult /r command on some shows "the following GPOs were not applied because they were filtered out" Oddly, the filtering works on some but the Internet homepage goes to MSN. The Internet homepage has been set to Google in user configuration>preferences>control panel settings>Internet settings> and Internet Explorer 8. Settings it in Internet Explorer 10 and above is not available in Windows 2008 R2 GP. Thanks Guys

I have used delprof before to remove profiles which has helped in the past elsewhere, but not on staff profiles where they may be holding a lot of data and that would be wiped. I may try the script above to see if it works. I'm not using a script of any kind at the moment. Thanks.

Hi all, We no longer use proxy settings on a Windows 2008 R2 Server, but unfortunately having removed any policies showing proxy settings when users login they still get proxy settings. I have searched high and low, ran gpresult /r on systems to check which policies are being picked up and still users are getting proxy settings. They also have no scripts configured on logins within ADUC. Just wondered if someone could provide a .vbs script for the moment that I can put into the netlogon folder and apply to ADUC for users or add this script into Group Policy that prevents proxy settings from being enabled until I try to resolve this. Thanks guys for any help.

Hello, Have transferred FSMO roles over from a 2008 server to 2016. Logged in as clients and all seems to be working, picking up policies and drive mappings etc. However, when I run dcdiag on the server and also reboot, the following same errors come up attached. I have looked everywhere on the net and done some 'solutions' to these based on other peoples experiences, i.e. changing permissions on folders, editing the registry but the same errors keep appearing. Any ideas really thankful. Cheers. dcdiag.txt

Hi, Please see scheduled task screenshots. I've blacked out the irrelevant bits but the relevant settings in task scheduler can still be seen. Many thanks -
Powershell Service Restart
discoveranother replied to discoveranother's topic in Windows Server 2016
Yes that is correct. I’ll post the screenshot up of the task scheduler. Yes the network card shows Unidentified network. Two cards, teamed as one. -
Hi all, I've created the following Powershell script Restart-Service -Name NlaSvc -Force to restart the Network Locations Services but can't get it to work via scheduled task. If I run the powershell command manually it works fine. I'm wanting the command to run once the server is booted up. It doesn't have to be logged in. Any help much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, Whenever I reboot the server the network card says unidentified network. I have to restart Network Location Services in services.msc and the network card then shows the correct settings as the domain. Just wondered what can be done so whenever the server restarts the network card shows the correct network ? Thanks

Thank you, I will give that a try.
